Best Book for Retriever Training. Read it before you pickup your puppy.

When one looks at the pictures in the book it looks outdated to say the least but don’t be fooled. I trained three Labs using this book’s methodology and it still works today. Training was fun, time saving, and successful.

This is the only book a serious dog trainer needs.

I purchased this book many years ago to train my dog for waterfowl hunting. If you were serious, hunter, and want a serious dog this is the book.

We had a copy of WaterDog for many, many years and then someone we lent it to did not return it (can't remember who). We have always had Labs - now have 4 - and Water Dog is the best book for simple, easy training there is! It just all makes sense and you can choose to train them for a simple "sit" and "heel", or use the retreiving methods for a very happy dog. Either way, we missed the book so much and were shocked it was still in print when we checked with Amazon. So, many thanks - our 4 labs are thrilled - and we won't lend this one!
