Beautifully produced resource for papercutters
This is a lovely book filled with wonderful papercutting designs. Some designs might be a bit complex and tricky to cut for a beginner, but would be a great book to progress onto. Some of the designs are quite large so not all are suitable for making greetings cards, which is my main use of papercutting. The idea is that you cut the designs straight from the printed designs, but that would mean you no longer have a master copy. So I like to photocopy the designs onto my own card or paper. Some of the designs are printed on brown or black paper and I'm not sure how well they will photocopy. In summary, this is an inspiring book with fantastic designs, but not all are suitable for making greetings cards or photocopying the designs. But it's worth buying it, just to browse the gorgeous designs and for inspiration!

Beautiful designs, just tricky to tranfer
Beautiful intricate designs of which I've done a few now. Only problem, you have to transfer the design onto your paper of choice if you do not want to use the design on the paper its printed. This is quite labour intensive. I've tried photocopying; sadly the lines are so light and faint it's difficult to see them. Also, i wanted some of the designs on black paper...so had to use white 'carbon' paper and laboriously trace every intricate line...almost taken longer than the cutting. But that said, a great purchase all the same!!

Unsuitable paper for cutting
The patterns are lovely but the paper the book is printed on is not suitable for papercutting at all - it's far too thin.
