Not steel but it does the job for the price
It's okay for the price. Seems sturdy. Definitely not steel. This is pot metal with a coating. I questioned the quality since it honestly felt like plastic but it holds up and looks simple. Cheapest price I found and to be honest the seller has the same rods for a higher price on a different listing than this one with several reviews. Just go with this one. We used our own anchors however.I almost sent it back due to quality but for the large size it is, you can't beat the price. Just don't let people inspect them and no one will notice at all trust me.I'll be purchasing again for my curtains in porch.

Does not expand to 144"
This only expands to 96" so if you need 144" you'll need to buy a different product.

Good sturdy curtain rod
I bought two 120" outdoor curtains for my screened in porch and needed sturdy rods to hang them. As you might guess, outdoor curtains that big can blow all over the place when the wind blows, even if they are heavy, which these were. So I fitted them with extra curtain weights to help keep them in place. These rods do a great job supporting the curtains and extra weights, even in a stiff wind. This was a good buy.

Not worth it!
We purchased this for my sons bedroom we were remodeling. We finally got to a point to hang up his curtains and opened our package and lo-and behold the rod is damaged, one of the pieces to hang it were snapped and completely unusable. Unfortunately we didn’t open before the return date so we are stuck with a useless item and out $30. Won’t purchase again.

Frustrating to hang but look great
The rod brackets are very frustrating to hang, it's very difficult to get the drill around to reach the screws. However, they were perfect for me because I needed something that could be mounted vertical on 2x4s and didn't look like those cheap curtain hooks that come with a standard rod. Also recommend different screws, the ones that come in the package strip easy even with predrilled holes. After a lot of cursing they were up, and now I'm happy with how they look.

Pita to install but looks good
I had a tight space in my bump out so installing this was kind of a pain. You have to install the outside brackets, then put the pole thru the first bracket already mounted, insert curtains, install pole into second bracket then install bracket onto the wall, insert curtains then install pole into third bracket already mounted. It looks good and does exactly what I needed it to!

Super easy to install
Sleek and not stand outage. It was super easy to install and I liked it so much I actually bought three in total. I would definitely recommend this product if you’re looking for an easily to install long curtain rod

Cool!
You have to be able to measure each area of contact precisely because of it's length. However, once you have the brackets put in, the rest of it is a piece of cake! I have solar curtains on a glassed back porch. This rod isn't having any trouble with the weight. Very attractive. Happy with my purchase!
