Congratulations to AMAZON, arrived before estimated delivery time, wish other suppliers could do this.Straight out of the box, used for fixing lunch, sharp, very comfortable to use, nice weight so you don't have to for e the blade, it does everything for you, meat, veg etc.Can't really see the point if the finger guard, it doesn't fit my finger anyway, was designed for female finger I think...The steel is fine for a quick touch up, but I've sent off for the sharpening stones as well, my experience with Global knives demonstrated the need for sharpening stones.Having been a professional chef for forty years, my trusty Sabatier knives have gone the distance, but were worn to the quick after forty years, I stretched them out with other knives, but most were made from steel alloys that while took an edge were too soft to really last and with forged handles were uncomfortable to use.At first try I fell in love with the Mosfiata Nakiri knife, definitely thinking of the other knives in the series... Can't recommend too highly.Have always been a bit sceptical of reviews but the ones here seem to bear out the product...

This chef's knife looks stunning, especially the handle. I was a little under whelmed with the Damascus effect on the blade versus the advertised images. In the advertising the effect is "very" prominent in reality it's really not. This to me is very misleading because let's face it, if you're after a knife with a Damascus effect the advertising should be representative, which it's certainly not.Above all said, I will say the handle is very beautiful, certainly a massive selling point for those seeking some art & design into their lives.The kit consisted, 7" Knife, Sharpener, cleaning clothes, and steel finger guard.The blade is 61 or 62 (or "about" according to advertising?) on the HRC rating staying sharp for a long time but can become brittle, and are difficult to sharpen. 57 - 63 HRC representing performance chef knives (but again subject to quality).This is certainly a beautifully gift set for someone, very sharp. 4/5

I love this knife. It’s so smooth and sharp, that it cuts so perfectly. It’s not too heavy and the balance of the blade and the handle are perfect. I’m really happy with this purchase. It was definitely good value for money.

Gute Verpackung und ein sehr scharfes Messer. Man muss vorsichtig sein. Bin aber sehr zufrieden.
