Shave-sharp and very well made considering the price.
Really nice. Excellent craftsmanship, shave-sharp out of the box and the handle grips pretty well. Lighter weight than I anticipated but that isn't a bad thing. I wish the blade-steel was specified though, rather than just saying "carbon steel". My only real complaint is the sheath doesn't have any sort of piece to secure the knife in place, it relies on friction and pressure to keep the knife from falling out. Also the sheath has a belt loop but it isn't a very good one and it would allow the knife to swing around instead of staying still. That said, the sheath is made out of very nice, genuine leather so that is a plus. It just needs some small improvements and it would be perfect.

Very comfortable handle
I purchased this knife for general use when hiking and backpacking. I have not owned this knife for very long, so I can't really give a good long term durability review. The handle is super nice and comfortable with no issues for me. The blade is very sharp and holds the sharp edge well. I use the knife for carving/whittling, splitting small logs and most anything everybody else would use a knife for.I really like this knife and look forward to many years of use.

Great knife!
Better than I expected! I love carrying it here in Texas. I am an eight year veteran of the Royal British Marines and a twelve year veteran of Norwegian Special forces. I don’t carry the knife for protection. I don’t need it. I use it outside for small chores. It’s a great knife. I recommend it. I said I don’t need the knife for protection but would use it if I had to. No, I am not Maga or any other right wing nutball. Even though I have extensive military experience with many battles and missions behind me I am about as much to the left as one could get. No, not Antifa either. Just human and trying to be humane.

Awesome knife
The fit and finish on this is great. Very well made. Out of the box this was the sharpest knife I've bought including ones I had professionally sharpened.

Lasted about four months
First off, I'm a fan of Puukko knives and own several. This Kellam knife is made of excellent materials. However, after four months of moderate use the bolster loosened. I repaired it with glue and tossed it into a tool box as a backup.Follow up -- I pulled the knife out of the toolbox because I've found it to be a perfect size for most tasks. My repair is holding and I have to admit it's my favorite Puukko blade.

Good balance of quality and price
Typical Finn quality, very good for the price. Good slicer, but strong enough to feather wood, perhaps even baton smaller pieces.

Finnish quality
Beautiful knife! I bought this traditional Finnish knife for general carry when in the woods. The curly birch is beautiful, the carbon blade takes an awesome edge, and the sheath is perfect in its minimalism and function.
