This is a good book for someone thinking about opening their third eye. It gives information on what you can expect so you are able to determine if this is something you want to pursue. That said I wouldn’t consider it a guidebook in and of itself to do so. It’s more an information packet so you know what you’re getting in to. It states that you need to open the 5 chakras in order that precede the third eye but gives no real guidance on how to do so and doesn’t refer you to other sources to find out. It also recommends using a spirit guide once you are ready to start opening the third eye but gives no information on how to find one. That said I do recommend this book for anyone curious about what opening your third eye is and what to expect from the process. This book was very informative and a quick read. Unlike most books the author gets straight to the point with detailed information no fluff.

Third Eye Awakening was interesting. But I am mot sure it is rooted in experience. The book draw experiences from cartoons like avatar or theoretical mystical things that, could, happen if you open your third eye. Not so sure any of it is true but I will continue to try.

If you are interested in opening your third eye then you will need this book. I have purchased tons of books on spiritual practices of all kinds and was disappointed by the lack of honesty and directions until I came across these books as a series. My first response to reiki healing, chakras, third eye opening, or even meditation period is overwhelming and perhaps a yeah right! Ive read many books about them but i was simply missing something. I believe it to be my attention. But, thankful Layla moons books are grasping my attention and im learning sooo much and even more about myself. Layla moons books have been a great inspiration for me while continuing with shadow work. She tells you about all the chakras with great detail explaining each one, how to relate to them, the colors they relate to, the part of the body they are attached to and sooo much more Best of all books 3,4, and 5 of her spiritual growth series makes doing chakra work very easy to do and understand. I love how in depth the author goes into explaining everything in this easy to grasp series! Great books overall. I was curious about what I might gain from this book: it's a mix of new perspectives but some things just didn't click for me, they clashed with my down to earth mindset. But still reading this book was interesting and I suggest everybody with an open mind find out for themselves if it fits their point of view.
