80 with a repaired hip and enjoy!
Purchased after falling off a stationary bike and breaking hip. Not allowed back on bike. What to do? Get this after much searching etc.Initially quite tentative as marketing is all aimed at highly fit looking 30+ fitness fanatics which I am not having reached my ninth decade last year.Soon found out that you can do everything at your own pace and the on line encouragement (well done Gideon) gets you trying harder and working up a wee sweat. I'm not trying to do 150k runs and all that - just maintain moderate fitness in an enjoyable manner. So if you are a 'mature' adult, don't be afraid this shouldwork fine for you.Assembly needs a friend and getting it upstairs required friendly delivery chaps.Good luck!

Great Bike but Don't get Fooled by the Reduced Price
I have had my bike for 6 months and it's great. However, it's shocking that NordicTrack push a £300 so called saving on RRP, when in fact they gave reduced the free 1 year iFit membership to 30 days. So actually you will end up paying more that RRP for the same product. I'd say that was breaking trading standards rules. Don't get fooled by the false sale claim.

Great bike but if you ever have any issue prepare for hell....
Overall I love this bike and the IFit app howeverOriginally I ordered my first bike directly through the NT site. My bike was delivered in March and after 3 replacement (NT unable to send a flawless bike) now I am waiting for a pick up and asked my money back. During this 10 months I have never seen a technician and the NT never sent me any replacement part because they are waiting for shipment 😃 . Last week I gave it up. However because I love the IFit app (the peloton trainers just annoying me with the shouting) I thought I give it an other try. I ordered the 2021 version through Amazon, because if the the bike is faulty its really easy to send it back and interestingly first time i received a flawless bike.... I think if you order from NT directly they are shipping the leftover stock or the bikes what was sent back and they are trying to repair it....When you order it buy the extended and accidental damage insurance! Also the Icon (who gives the support) is the worst ever support what I have seen in my life. If your bike is under warranty do not wait for any repair or technician, you will never see it. Ask for replacement immediately, and if you are lucky you will get a working bike.

Seriously impressive bit of kit with great fitness benefits
Although I thought long and hard about such a big purchase, I am very glad that I went for such a well featured and well-built bike. The quality of ride and the benefits of having the incline/decline are already evident after only a few months and have made a noticeable difference to my fitness.Screen may not be the largest, but it is very high quality and sufficiently big to get you immersed in the training class or scenery - and the IFit library has a great range of locations and classes.Ability to rotate the screen and follow classes from your mat is also a great advantage and really helps with the range of fitness benefits you can gain.

DO NOT BUY
This bike and the iFit app have never worked properly. And now just as the warranty has expired the bike has completely died. Nordic track will not even give advice on probable fixes. Terrible customer service and a waste of money. Avoid.

It is good value and good fun. Saved about $2000 overall as against the Peleton.
Exec Sum: Good value for money and a good fitness tool.We initially looked at the Peleton - mainly because there was a small shop in the nearby mall but it was a little too pricey, required some additional tools (proper cycling shoes for each user) and a $40 per month subscription to the online gym - so we wavered and then there was a 4 month waiting list. We shopped around. The Nordic Track looked to be an equivalent bike but at $1000 less and it came with the first year access to the online gym included and it did not require the use of proper cycling shoes. After some research, we committed to the Nordic Trak, which came within a week.It arrived on the doorstep in a single box. It's heavy - needed two people to move. It was packaged well and everything was there, including reasonable instructions and gym access card. The bike took about 45 mins to build. It's not too complex. I have built three-drawer Ikea cabinets that took more brain power so that is my baseline for building things. It's well built and solid, which is why we bought a tough mat for it to sit on - protect the wooden floors. The electrics were simple, with the only challenge being the on/off button, which is concealed at the rear, facing the floor and took a while to locate.Access to the iFIT studio was pretty easy. Despite the one year included membership, I still had to provide my credit card details to complete the process, which pissed me off somewhat - I don't like passing on payment details when it's not necessary (for a year at least) - unnecessary security exposure. Anyway, I bit the bullet.I have used the bike every day for a week now so my experience is expanding. The bike is solid and works very well. The saddle takes some getting used to so both my wife and I have been exploring padded seats, although I may be getting used to it. The pedals have baskets so that you can wear any training shoes - much better than spending $300 for a pair of cycling shoes I would never use anywhere else, as with the Peleton. The best part is the large video screen and the online gym. You can join in with a gym class or, which is my preference, you can cycle outside with an online guide. I just completed a 30 min cycle in Boulder, CO, which wasn't flat...but it was excellent fun. I also found access to Google Earth / Maps which allows you to cycle anywhere around the world. It is not as fluid at the guided cycles but it is fun.As I have barely used the Peleton, I can't honestly say if the Nordic Track is any better or worse. It is certainly good for what we need as average users and non-cycling enthusiasts and it saved me nearly $2000! I am happy with it so far.

Worked perfectly for a day, then nothing but problems
Well, where do I start? How about with the bad news. Like others have stated, the bike is awesome. You get a great workout with the automatic incline/resistance set for you. Unfortunately, that lasted 1 day for me. Since then, I've experienced random reboots, frozen screens, and failure to load the iFit software. In the past 6 weeks, I have spoken to Nordictrack/iFit through emails and chats about 7 times. I was told that the problem might be a controller board which would be ordered for me. That was back in September. As of today (October 27th), I'm still waiting for that part. I've also been asked to factory reset the console. I've done that so many times I can reset it while wearing a blindfold. I was also emailed instructions on how to remove the iFit software and reinstall it. When I did that, the bike worked for about a week. Now, the software no longer loads. Due to this, the bike is stuck in an incline position and the resistance is also stuck on a higher level than I use. I am unable to lower the incline or resistance with the handlebar controls so at this point, the bike is pretty much useless. Each time I start a new support ticket, I receive a similar response that they are sorry that the part replacement is taking longer than expected and suggest that I reset the console again. The problem is, Nordictrack is still manufacturing these bikes so apparently they have enough parts.I should note that at the end of September, I received a call from a local repair company who is contracted to repair Nordictrack equipment The tech I spoke to didn't think that the problem was with the controller board. He also said that it is not uncommon for Nordictrack to take a long time to send out replacement parts and wished me luck in getting the part. Now, for the good news. Thank God I purchased this bike on Amazon. They stand behind the products they sell! I was able to get it returned even though the return window closed a few days ago. Now my big dilemma is whether to order another Noridctrack (thinking I received a "Lemon") or cut my ties with them altogether and go with the Peloton. The reason I didn't go with the Peloton originally was because of the auto incline/resistance during workouts and the worldwide bike rides that Nordictrack offers. If Peloton would come out with something similar, I wouldn't hesitate to go with them.Note to Nordictrack: If you respond to this review, please don't patronize me by leaving your "canned" response of thanking me for the review to help you improve the customer experience. Just sent the replacement parts (on a timely basis) when people need them so they can get back to using their $2.000 bike!Update....11/16/20....I've had my new bike for about a week now. The difference is like night and day. Once I set up the new bike, I immediately noticed that the monitor was just a bit different. In additional to the normal stats that are on the top of the screen, there are also additional settings on either side of the screen. There are buttons on the left side of the screen that can control the incline and buttons on the right side that can control the resistance. I never had these buttons on my old monitor so I'm not sure if that was part of the problem with the old bike or it was something else. And yes, I was current on software updates for the old bike. The bike now works flawlessly and what one would expect on a high end bike. For those that are having problems with the software, keep contacting Noridctrack/IFit until your problem is resolved. I did notice that when I would respond to an email from them, they would never follow up on my email. The only way I could get them to respond was to create a new support ticket which would then prompt them to email me. Good luck and happy riding!

Great Purchase! - easy to set up and connect
I love this thing...even more than I thought I would. Setup instructions were very good. It can be a bit of a pain to get the screws threaded in two directions so it's important to NOT tighten as you go, but follow the instructions and tighten them all once they are all threaded. It all went together just fine. There was one plastic instert that fits in the underside of the head tube. It's too small and wont stay in place. It's in a spot where you cant see it so I dont really care. You will probably want to get handlebar tape. As you get heated up your hands can start to slip on the handlebars. The tape is easily purchased and installed here on Amazon...just wrap it tight so it doesnt slip and dont trust the included black tape to secure the ends. Use your own electrical tape or you will find it unwrapped the next morning. The fan is awesome! It's not too loud and it puts out a lot of air. It would be nice to be able to adjust the direction of the fan independent of the screen but they move as one...not a bid deal. Just a nice to have. Some other reviews called out the wobble. The screen is a bit top heavy and does wobble. It's not a big wobble and doesnt affect performance in any way. I really only notice it now when I'm out of the saddle and my form gets a little sloppy. It actually helps me to steady my form but would prefer not to have a wobble. The screen is crystal clear picture and colors are vibrant. It's nice to be able to ride all over the world and enjoy the scenery as you go. I also love the studio rides. I do wish there were some rides that DID NOT have a trainer. Sometimes I have to turn off the volume because they talk non stop...Some love it...some just want to ride. Please give me some rides without a trainer!!!Some reviews stated that they did not get the free one year membership card with their bike. Mine was there no problem and connection was easy to do. Note that you have to enter a credit card to create your membership. I DID NOT appreciate having to enter my credit card for a free membership. Just one more place my personal information can get stolen from. It should be an enter it as you need to...My only complaint is that if you put your own pedals on they typically require an allen wrench from the inside of the cranks and there isnt much room between the bike and the inside of the cranks to get an allen wrench in there. I had to get a little creative to get them tight enough...do the best you can. The threads are in a direction that shouldnt allow them to unscrew. (Left pedal is reverse thread as with all bikes.)
