Bit costly but very effective product

Box was not sealed and deformed but simple pressure with finger from inside straightened it out. Rinsed matrix biomedia before introducing it into my SunSun HW 403B canister filter. Ill wait and see how it would perform. And also remember that purigen is a must in the last stage of filtration.

I expected better quality from Seachem, however I was surprised to see many discolored non pumice stones mixed with the media. More over most pumice stones were tiny, like as if they packed this lot from left over batch of tiny leftover rubble. Had to clean it under water several times to remove the powder and then use it. Overall the amount of media was more than expected, can say easily more then 1 kg, hence it compensates for the non pumice stones and tiny stones. But you need to use fine mesh bag to avoid matrix from flowing into motor impeller. Can’t say about effectiveness, as I have other seeded media over 5 Kgs already taking care of the nitrites. Just wanted to try out matrix as a long term media instead of ceramic rings. I guess time will only tell how good it is lasts. Will write a review again after 1 year

Just got this product yesterday The package does not have a typical seal on it and also inside the box there seems to be a wooden stick both of which seems very strange for a company like Seachem. On the delivery front this came via Amazon Transportation- Had ordered another product at the same time as this which the seller sent via Indiapost, imagine the India post delivered before Amazon Transportation. Both items were shipped from Mumbai and Gujrat. 1st photo you will see the box 2nd shows the stick inside the box, ain't that very strange unless someone restocked original 3rd no seal on the inside top of the box

Sembrano semplici pietre ma in realtà sono molto di più. Osservando al microscopio le insenature che presenta Seachem Matrix si capisce presto il perché siano i migliori materiali biologici per acquari. Offrono una grandissima superficie di insediamento dei batteri "buoni" indispensabili per un buon equilibrio dell'acquario. Il materiale è molto poroso e molto leggero. Nessun'altro materiale biologico per acquari da me testato ha le performance di Seachem Matrix. La porosità è elevatissima, ciò permette di massimizzare la superficie da colonizzare da parte dei batteri "buoni" presenti nel filtro. Più superficie=più batteri buoni. Più batteri buoni=meno alghe. Tali batteri legandosi al materiale biologico decompongono sostanza organica che inevitabilmente si forma in vasca. La materia organica è prodotta da pesci e piante e a livelli elevati, può diventare molto pericolosa per l'equilibrio chimico e biologico della vasca stessa provocando esplosioni indesiderate di alghe. Per il mio acquario da 100LT ho utilizzato 1LT di Matrix da inserire nel filtro esterno e ho avviato. Successivamente ho inserito nell'acqua della vasca circa 15ml di batteri liquidi che aiutano il processo di colonizzazione nel filtro. Possono essere inseriti anche in filtri interni. Dopo circa un mese di utilizzo alghe sparite! Provare per credere. E' un materiale eterno che può durare anni ed anni e non va mai sostituito; basta avere l'accortezza di sciacquare una volta ogni 40-60gg tale materiale nell'acqua di cambio della vasca (non in acqua di rubinetto pura in quanto contiene cloro che uccide i batteri presenti). Ogni filtro per acquari di acqua dolce deve essere equipaggiato con materiale biologico di ottima qualità come questo. Consiglio l'acquisto. P.S. Se ti sono stato utile fammelo sapere :)

El mejor filtro biológico

L'eau est parfaitement limpide, et la qualité de l'eau s'est grandement améliorée. J'ai remarqué une réduction significative des nitrates et des phosphates, ce qui a vraiment aidé à stabiliser l'écosystème de mon aquarium. Le produit est facile à utiliser et dure longtemps, ce qui en fait un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Que ce soit pour les aquariums d'eau douce ou marine, je recommande vivement ce produit à tous les aquariophiles soucieux de maintenir une eau de haute qualité. Un must-have pour tout aquarium !
