Philips HD9306/06 1.5-Litre Electric Kettle (Multicolor)

Product quality is excellent. Using the same model for the past 4 yrs without any issues. We use it for boiling water. We boil the water for drinking and for making tea. We use the kettle atleast 5 or 6 times a day an twice in a day we boil water with its full capacity. So we boil water 1 or 2 cups to full capacity everyday.Recently, the lid got detached, so purchased a new one with the same capacity and model. To my surprise, the kettle comes with bigger plug for which we don't have suitable socket. Hence returned the product and received refund promptly.There is no mention of the plug size in the product description. I give 5 star to the product and wish to buy again, only if it is provided with 5/6A plug. Hope Philips takes note of this!Advice: Please use it only for boiling water and there will be no trouble, works for years! The kettle opening is not so wide compared to some other makes, but that will not be an issue if it used only for boiling water as intended.

UPDATE 23 MARCH 2019 - I purchased another piece of exactly same product. First of all price was 200 more than first purchase. Secondly the cable of the second kettle is 12 inches shorter than the cable of the first kettle. Very disappointed. It's useless for me as it can't even reach the socket for plugging in, despite keeping on a 4 feet high table. I'm attaching a new photo of both kettles together so that you can see the difference in length of cable.17th SEPTEMBER 2018 UPDATEThe kettle has been working beautifully since the past 3 weeks. We use it 3-4 times a day to boil water for tea. There is no problem and therefore, I am changing my rating to 4 stars. Watch this review for further updatesAUGUST 2018 - I purchased this kettle for 2299 fromamazon cloud tail india on 24 Aug 2018. Print is 2695. But within one day, it's available in 2099 from same seller.I have attached clear pictures for all customers to see. Kindly note :1) This kettle is 1.5 L in capacity, easy to wash, easy to open and close (push button) aesthetic looking, sturdy steel body with plastic handle. The plug is ordinary 3 pin and the cable is adequately long. Please see photo for exact appearance.2) I received the kettle in damaged condition. A piece of plastic is broken, I have pointed out the small broken part with a knife, in my photos. I am unable to identify from WHERE this piece is broken . So it's not an issue for me.3) Base of the kettle was loose, it seems it was mishandled in transit. I used a screwdriver to tighten it so even that is not a problem.4) the purchase cum warranty card is NOT signed or stamped by the dealer. I only have the bill given by Amazon. This product is supposed to have 2 years warranty. I don't know whether the warranty is functional without stamp of dealer. I am personally not bothered by this fact either.5) Kettle makes ordinary amount of noise while boiling water and has auto-cut. It's working fine as of now.6) There was no Philips seal on the box and as you can see in photo, I received it in an unsealed condition. The piece is damaged after all. And the warranty is unsigned. I have a problem with the opened seal.7) As usual, with due praise for cloud tail India, there is option to return the product within 7 days.8) I have currently given it 1 star due to the condition in which it was received. But I will update my rating and inform you all about the working of this kettle within 4-5 days after this review is published.

Recently I bought the kettle from Amazon Very good product, as I reviewed all the products, this is one of the best kettle after using my personal opinionafter boiling water it’s keeps hot for more time and easy to cleanThe only disadvantage is cord length is very short and we have to use plug converter 5 to16voverall I’m satisfied with this product

Good product, looks and works as described.Chord length could have been bit longer. Outer body also gets heated up, which is not so nice for handling.

The media could not be loaded. I can't believe if Philip has not done the testing of their products...Shut off valve is not working... Supplier has sent defective part...See Video attached

I have been using this kettle twice a day regularly. It is very efficient. It hardly takes about 3 1/2 minutes to boil the water. I find this product hassle free. I have been reading reviews by fellow users of this product & after using this product I want to share My views: 1. Length of the Mains cord is about 75cms. because certain electrical standards are to be followed by the manufacturers(Note: 50% of the mains cord is wound on the base, needs to be removed before Using). 2. Internal surface of the Kettle getting stains, depends upon the quality of water(my kettle does not get stained). 3. Products from reputed companies available at local retail shops are also made in China.
