Songs From The Last Century

Great artist sadly missed, have collected all his works since his death, every song is a lasting reminder to a hugely talented man. I only hope he knew how much pleasure he gave & continues to give through his music legacy. Thank you for the Music George xx

I try to be unbiased with each 'new' review but George Michael could sing The Runaway Train or talk the phone book and I'd love it. We know any track is going to be sung and produced to perfection, so you can press the 'play' button, sit back and know you're going to be entertained.

Great fan of George Michael - this was a CD that I had not heard of and was not disappointed especially his version of 'First Time' absolutely beautiful, prefer it to the original..

A Lovely mellow cd with beautifully orchestrated tracks from yesteryear. Really enjoy listening to it and singing along! The 'I remember you' track by Frank Ifield played on the harp, no less, is gorgeous. Recommend it to all that like these sort of tracks and George Micheal in particular.

Interesting choice of material by George Michael. The arrangements suited his voice to a tee. A tragic loss to music.

I have only recently discovered this, having heard it on Prime music, and find it to be a showcase for the versatility of the late great George Michael. He has put his own delightful interpretation on each song, rather than imitate the original, It is an absolute delight.

With this album, 'Somgs From The Last Century', George Michael brings his singing talent to include a whole new audience - to lovers everywhere. From the mellow, pensive rendition of 'Roxanne' to an interpretation of 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face', which can only be described as exquisite. Spend an hour together with your loved one and put this one in your CD player - for George Michael fans and people new to his music, this can only be described as one of the most beautiful albums you are ever likely to hear.

This is a fabulous CD of covers. I see some of the songs on it will be on his new album, no idea why he hasnt covered other songs on that.Killing Me Softly and Roxanne are brilliant versions in my view. A resounding 10 out of 10 from me.
