Maui Jim Men's and Women's Stillwater Polarized Classic Sunglasses

GENERAL - I was at an outlet mall, and spontaneously purchased a bronze pair of these sunglasses. I'm adding a photo that shows how the frame folds up into a compact case that is 3.75"W x 2.5"D x 1.5"H. There's a big difference in the size of the traditional MJ case and this compact one. A cleaning cloth was also included with my case and glasses. I love the folding feature...so much easier to carry around in my bag! These glasses are well made, sturdy and the screws and hinges appear to be of good quality. The antique scroll design on the frame and arms are subtle, and I think would work for both men & women...but, you decide (see photo 2).WEIGHT - I own a couple of pairs of MJ's, but this is my first glass-lens pair. I haven't had these very long, but so far I love them. I've tried other glass-lens ones before, and ended up returning them because they were too heavy after just a couple of hours of wear. On the day of purchase, I wore these the rest of the afternoon running errands, and driving in traffic. They remained comfortable for the rest of the day, and I haven't had any issues since.LENSES - I'm able to walk in and out of midday sun through open areas, then into interior spaces (offices, etc.), and the lens (bronze) has just the right amount of color so I don't have to remove my glasses while indoors or in slightly darker areas like parking garages. Since these are glass lenses, they will still be heavier than any of the polycarbonate ones. I do find these Stillwaters heavier than my other MJ's, but still comfortable and super clear.PRICE - I was hesitant about purchasing this pair, and actually decided on a cheaper pair, at first. I changed my mind at the last minute, since the store had a return policy, and I'm totally satisfied with these sunglasses. I called the salesman to let him know that I love these MJ's!

This is my fourth set of Maui Jim sunglasses over the past 20 years. I had purchased the gray pair of these but the dark gray lens is really only good if you are on the beach in my opinion. For me, they are simply too dark for every day use, driving, etc. I returned the gray ones to the local store and bought the bronze pair here on Amazon. Maybe I am just used to the HCL bronze lenses as all four pairs in the past have had this type of lens. I saw the other reviewer was a female but these glasses are made for both men and women. I love them and would highly recommend them to anyone!

I have several pair of the Maui Jim sunglasses and saw this style while on vacation.. I didn't buy them then, but was pleased to find them available on amazon. The quality is great and they fit very nicely for my face. I am pleased with the purchase. My only compliant is they did not include the cleaning cloth.

I have two pairs of Maui's, the koko head and puka. LOVE THOSE. Maui's are absolutely worth their value. I have bought a few other pairs for friends and family as gifts and heard great things back. The STILLWATER, on the other had, is A DIFFERENT STORY. After only wearing them for a day, they were giving me a headache, distorting things. I am sure it has to do with the fact that they are foldable and the lenses don't quite line up nicely. I returned them.
