Pleasantly surprised by New Transcend earphones.. 5/5 Starts
Transcend is now providing in-ear-canal headphones with MP350. (with 2 additinal ear buds of different sizes). Similar to Creative EP-600Yes, buttons require a little higher than normal effort to press. (similar to pressing buttons on a mobile with cover on.) That's because this thing is water proof.Sound quality (with bundled headphones) is quite good. Rich bass but not too powerful. Ultimately; will depend on the quality of headphones that you use.. >90db signal is there..I compared Philips Go Gear Mix/Dot/Apple iPod/Transcend MP300 & MP330 but choose to buy this because:1. Nothing is flimsy about this thing.. Built like a brick...(will survive accidental falls and rough use..)2. Can wear while working out (Water proof, sorry iPod)3. Has 8GB memory capacity. (greater than Philips/iPod)4. As it requires a micro USB connector to charge and upload songs, the cap would not become loose or fall off when actually using the clip (as in philips go-gear MIX)5. Supports Playlists so makes it easier to organize music6. Bright OLED DisplayYet to test out Equalizer and other settings though..Technically, internal components are the same as MP300/MP330.. it's the build quality, waterproof design & sports clip that sets it apart.Go for it you want a good quality, reliable MP3 Player with 8GB capacity and a clip for listening to music while jogging/working out..Also, MRP Printed on the box is Rs2999. Import date May-2015

Good sound. Good features. Good durability. But something super annoying inside!
Overall it's a good product offered from Transcend.Included with the player is a set of earphones, two extra pairs of different sized ear caps for the earphones, neck strap/lanyard, short USB cable, quick start guide, warranty card.Packaging shows M.R.P. Rs.2995. Purchased on Amazon for Rs.2994Internals:* Fitness tracker: nothing particularly special. Three main settings. Acts mainly like a timer, calculator and fitness-data storage, useful for some people, but not all, I would say.* Voice recorder: Microphone is okay. Need to be quite close to get good volume and quality.* Recordable FM radio with 20 presets.* Playlist builder.* A-B repeat* 13 languages* Can use like a USB flash drive for transfer and storage purposes* Screen saver, sleep timer, auto-shutoff* Equaliser- 8 effects, including one user customisable EQ* Plays three formats only- MP3, WAV, WMA* Transcend says "up to 16 hours" for playback- I haven't tested it to that length so can't verify, but I have used for many hours (early a.m. to p.m.) and the battery does not drain at an excessively fast rate. Battery life seems very good and this 16 hours looks possible if the settings are configured to suit in the player itself.Externals:* 67mm x 26.5mm x 18.3mm* 22g only* Vivid white OLED screen displays clear text at any angle.* Splash resistant: some other reviews have said "waterproof". This is definitely NOT waterproof, that is completely incorrect. It's rated "splash resistant. IPX2: Protected against falling water when tilted up to 15 degrees" is precisely what it says in the player's specs. "Waterproof" means that your device can be submerged in water for some time and remain unaffected- this is NOT like that- thought it would be useful for people if I pointed this out. Splash resistant is very useful though and one reason I purchased this over other models and brands.* Good quality earhook earphones: Transcend have finally improved the earphones they provide with their players! A little behind my mid-range Sennheisers for quality, but they are actually good. Before most people simply threw the accompanying earphones in the garbage, but these are definitely worth keeping. Removable earhook- they can be used with or without the earhook which is also cool. These are NOT the earphones pictured with the listing, they have been totally upgraded. Comes with three different sized ear caps to get the fit right.* Sport clip. Excellent addition- useful for exercise/sports and convenient for everyday use, study and work.* Drop tested to a good ratingGeneral:* Sound produced is very good.* Has a two year limited warranty. Not five stars because:* When use fast forward it only fast forwards at one speed, which is relatively quick and the speed is okay for a track upto say 10 minutes, but beyond that it's vvveeeeeerrrrry annoying. The speed of fast forward does not increase. I used MP870 before and after a short period of holding the fast forward button it would make big skips in the track. Now on some special one hour and two hour things I need to listen to: you guessed it, it doesn't speed-up any more than normal fast forward speed nor does it skip large sections of the track- have to sit there with finger on fast forward for minutes- go drink some tea, chats, maybe have a powernap, and then maaaaybe I am where I need to be in the track! I gave up on fast forwarding on the longer tracks- this is super inconvenient and worth losing a full star for!* Music/audio stops when you go back to the main menu- this also doesn't happen on some other models.Overall:It's a good buy. Physically robust, easy to use, functions well for the most part, good sound. Would be great if they could fix the cuing (fwd/rev) speed, but would still recommend, particularly if that's not a concern for you. Transcend are a reliable brand.Peace.

I'd love to give this five stars but let's start with ...
I'd love to give this five stars but let's start with all its plus points.1. It's sleek, it's small and can clip on pocket edge.2. It looks nice and the blue piping is just sweet.3. The battery is good, I'd left it after charging and using it once for an entire week before using it again with little battery drain.4. The only thing I don't like about this is the hard buttons, now that may be a good feature while you are running or working out and tend to press buttons more firmly than you normally would. But if you are going for a walk and need through scroll through your playlist you will feel get the same feeling you get while trying to get your work done through any government official. Yes it will be that tough, I'm not exaggerating. And for that last thing I would like to give it a 3 star rating, I love it for the sound quality and everything else otherwise.
