The media could not be loaded. The latch is an absolute no-brainer. My son would ride his bike to school, but he was too lazy to go around unlock the gate. Take the bike out and then lock it again. So this is a really easy solution where he can open it on one side, walk his bike through lock it on the other side and vice versa. Not to mention it’s a very solid lock and it has a very satisfying click. Very well-made.

A few weeks ago, I installed this Heavy Duty Self-Locking Gate Latch on my wooden gate. I have to say, it’s fantastic. This latch is made of galvanized steel and has a nice black finish that looks great. The results during and after installation have been great.This latch is is made entirely of galvanized steel with a satin black finish. It is really heavy and built to last. Actually exceeded my expectations.The galvanized steel construction is incredibly sturdy. It feels solid and well-made, and I have no doubt it will stand up to the elements for years to come. The black finish adds an extra layer of protection in addition to the galvanizing to resist rust and corrosion. It rains here constantly and rust is an issue everywhere. Judging by the construction, I think it will fare very well.The latch has a self-locking mechanism. It’s designed to automatically lock when the gate closes, which is nice. It keeps my gate firmly shut. It gives me peace of mind knowing my yard is secure. It’s also very easy to open from either side. The latching/release mechanisms operate smoothly.It provides excellent security and holds the gate firmly in place. I've also added a padlock, which snaps into place easily.Putting it up was a breeze. ...straightforward and obvious. It's just important to make sure your gate and frame line up properly or you'll struggle. All the necessary hardware was included. I had it installed and working in about 10 minutes, and it fits perfectly.The black finish looks nice and complements my fence beautifully. It’s a little detail, but really adds to the overall aesthetic.I wholeheartedly recommend this Gate Latch.

This is a beast of a latch, just bigger and more solid all around than the old similar-style latch it's replacing.Although the product page describes this as a latch for wooden fences, I'm using it on a vinyl gate with no issues, it seems very solidly attached.I really like that this latch has more of a handle to grab when opening the gate, makes it harder to miss and means less fiddling when you've got an armful of groceries/pup/toddler/whatever.I also like what seems to be a pretty thick coating on the latch that hopefully will prove as weather-resistant as it looks, and the powder-coated hardware is really nice, it's nice not to have a janked-up paint job hanging off the gate.Overall, extremely pleased with this product, and it's a terrific value at the relatively low current price.

This is a great gate latch - we got this to replace the one we had before which had broken and we subsequently used a screwdriver to hold the latch shut. So this is way better, it fit right into the space we needed it to and holds the heavy gate shut with no problems whatsoever. It's solid metal and doesn't look like it's going to rust anytime soon. The latch functions really well and it shuts solidly and we don't have to worry about it coming free and letting our dogs out accidentally and that's the most important part to us, that it's reliable which we trust that it is. Good quality hardware.

Got this to replace the hardware on a white vinyl post pool fence. It took a few tries to get it in the right place to latch well but this was more so due to the fence and gate not being particularly sturdy. The hardware is ok quality wise for fence or gate out of stie but not really something I would want to use in a prominent area of my yard. The paint coating seems thin and already had some chips that I assume will begin to rust in a year or two. Mechanically it certainly works and its nice it can be taken apart to reverse the operation. The instructions like most things these days were pretty much useless, same for the included hardware. Overall its a good budget solution.

Review of the TRIPLE DEER Self-Locking Gate Latch, We needed to replace an old rusting gate latch and the Triple Deer latch was then answer. Luckily the bolt holes did not line up thus it was easy to install new screws into fresh wood. It securely self latched to the catch and is a breeze to open from either side. The downside is the screws & bolts provided and undersized and poor quality, they immediately rust. I replaced all with size 12 SS screws. Otherwise all in all it is a good self locking latch.As a Vine member I did not pay for the product; never the less my review is unbiased.

I got this for my 6' vinyl fence gate. It allows you to open the latch from either side of the gate and has holes to attach a lock. If you have a pool this latch is a must. Easy install and attaches firmly to both the gate and post
