PP Squirrel Proof Baffle, Pole Mount Squirrel Guard Stopper for Outdoors Bird Feeder Pole - (Black, 16inch,1 Pack)

Item was easy to install in a few minutes. Only been there a day. But, our backyard squirrels have defeated so many of our attempts to discourage their raiding the bird feeders. We enjoyed watching Rocky climb a couple feet up the pole, look up at the black baffle above, and decide not to go farther! He has so much food on the ground. But squirrels love challenging new technologies. We will likely buy another one or two, just for the entertainment, and that they really work to impede access to bird feeders on poles.

This has worked great! I did need to use the spongy spacers to secure it to my pole, so if you have a thinner pole, you will need the extra width. It has surprisingly held up really well! It's a bit wobbly, but does not allow the chipmunks or squirrels to get at my bird feeder. I was a bit afraid the squirrels would chew it up, but not so. Has held up through strong winds and rain as well.

This comes in 3 pieces. The panels are thicker & heavier than I thought. It took awhile to bolt together. More bolting than I expected. So I will see how it works keeping the squirrels off my pole & feeder. I bought the 16 inch, if that helps anyone. It seemed pretty stable after installing it. I will come back later, if I have to change my review.

Don’t waste your time or money. These things are junk. They broke after like 6 months. They slide down the pole like they’re getting dollars thrown at them.

I want to love this product because it does keep the squirrels out of the bird feeder. (They have plenty of seed that I put for them on the ground.) But they still climb the pole hanger, reach to the sides of the baffle and bite in with attempts to hold on and swing themselves upward (unsuccessfully) and then fall. Because it has been a very cold winter the baffle is very brittle and I have a rim of bite marks (recently put Tabasco sauce on to see if it would be a deterrent). This was not necessarily an expensive item but I have a disappointment of it now looking so chewed up.

Works AWESOME but the squirrels figured how they could push it up and still get to the feeder. We had to use some southern ingenuity and place a clamp on top so the squirrels could not push it up. Other than that minor issue, it has worked great!
