Handy ArtGlow in the Dark Acrylic Paint 2 ounce, Clear

I bought this so that I can paint stuff that glows in the dark. I’ve tested it multiple times and it does work, but it really doesn’t light up as bright as I thought it would for a glow-in-the-dark paint. If you want to get it just to do it it does work, just not as bright, or vivid, as you initially would expect.

I paint a lot of simple pictures for my son and keep to acrylics usually because of the vibrant colors. This adds that special touch... I love to paint landscapes with a daytime theme, and when the lights go out poof, magically there is a previously non-exsistant night scape glowing on the wall. The paint dries clear, nearly invisible, so it can be used over anything with a little patience. It will always produce a more pronounced effect over brighter colors than darker. The only reason I lost a star on this is the consistency of the paint, I wish it were a little thicker or heavier on the pigments. To get a really good glow, it needs direct light for a little while, and layers. Dry one, add another. All in all, not to bad.

After 5 coats, I poured it on. Let it sit and dry really well. Even added a layer of sealant to protect it from wearing (as advised on the web). It does work better than anything else, but then again... it does not work all that well. The glow fades after a month outside. I do not know what to suggest because it is probably the best clear glow paint on the market, but it just did not get the lasting affect I was hoping for.

I ordered this to use on a gift I was painting for my friend. The painting is done in watercolours, and it works over all of the colours I used (I used the entire spectrum practically). I would suggest using at least two layers of it. ie, paint on 1 layer thinnly, then paint over it again once it is dried. To make your life easier, use a blacklight to see it when you put it on because you cant see it at all in the light. I am a professional artist and I find this to be a very good choice for those on a budget. all and all, it is a very good product, just be sure you know how to use it or it wont turn out very well, do a little bit of web surfing to find some techniques to make your project sparkle in the night! Have fun with it, but dont expect it to cover a huge area, it is only a 2oz. bottle.

This paint glows brightly especially when exposed to black light or sunlight.

The only thing is that you have to paint more than two coats to get a better glow

i ordered this product to paint on brown paper that we were to use to black out a room for my sons party. first i was sent the wrong product which customer service quickly sent the correct item. however the paint did not glow for us. we did double coats and let it charge out in the full sun outside. the only one that showed some potential of glowing was the white one but it lasted minutes. customer service was great which is why i gave it a 3 star. the product however wasnt what we needed at all and did not glow.

I put several coats on the clock hands in my bathroom, and it lost its glow after 2 days.

I tried to use it on a costume for Halloween I had and to be honest it barely glows. I put a lot of layers to make sure it would do something but no. good price but does not do the job if you are using it on clothes

I wanted to give it no stars but would not allow me too. This product didn't even work with ample applications! Even with it in the sun for days there was no glow. Very disappointed.

I had to saturate the items heavy to get it to glow at all. So it is not appealing. Wasn’t worth the effort
