I have used the alumni books for a while and they are improved my child’s thinking in a great way. It helps him apply his mind

Recommend for second grade kids.

Unless you have the intention of moving to the US, the money part of this book will be completely irrelevant (5 lessons).Other than that it is a nice and smooth ride through progressive tasks in geometry and measurement. There are exercises with lbs, but kilos too.The 36 lessons include numbers up to 1000 and 10000, telling time, length, weight, counting coins and money, triangles and quadrilaterals and reviews.My daughter is struggling with number lines which there are many of in the beginning of the book, but we are slowly getting somewhere.The book is printed in the shades of orange inside and a puppy at the end of each lesson gives encouragement.Solutions are in the back.

Beware, there is a section in these books that cover currency and despite ordering from a UK site, I have been sent an american version with american currency. This means my daughter won't be able to do this bit. It is not at all clear if an English version is available and how to distinguish it from an American version. I can't work out from Amazon where to get an answer to this.

the product is designed for US only as the coins and money is in dollars, not designed for UK and European kids. should be highlighted in the listing through. very disappointed
