Works great on Android and IOS
I was totally surprised how well this ring worked when I downloaded the Qring app per the included instructions and was able to pair the ring with my iPhone and my new android phone. I was glad that the largest size they offered was able to fit a couple of my fingers to be able to track the vitals in the app on each phone. I like the fact that I could wear it to bed, and it kept track of my sleep cycles, heart rate, and blood oxygen levels. During the day it keeps track of my activity, steps and movement. It also has a stress category in which you can take manual measurements or just check to see what it happens to import for that category. I just so happened to receive my expensive other big name brand ring at the same time and ended up returning it because it did not track all the items in the Qring as well for me and would only work on android phones.

Mostly works but poor app
The ring connects via an app called QRing. That app is this ring's downfall. I gave it all the necessary permissions to keep me informed about the status of the ring and yet I had the ring discharge 100% and die on me without getting a single notification about low battery.I tried to connect the ring thru the app and it showed ring disconnected error that is how I got to know that the battery had died. This happened twice. Weirdly, when I recharged the ring and once it came back to life, the app showed "Notice! battery level 20% please recharge".As for the hardware itself, it is reasonable at the price. There are no hard edges or poking protrusions anywhere. I ordered the size 10 after measuring using the suggested method and the ring is still too large. Be careful with the sizing. Not a problem for me as I am okay with a loose ring but if you are someone who likes a snug fit, order a smaller ring than suggested. The waterproofing seems to work. I have been using it continuously for past few days and have work it while washing utensils, taking bath, washing my car etc and it has been fine. The outer layer has polished chrome finish on it and it doesn't seem like it will last long. Within a week my ring shows scratches on it. I have another (non smart) ring that I have been wearing for years and both look the same despite this smart ring being just a week old.The battery life seems "adequate". I have turned off continuous monitoring of HR and stress and only do it once a day or so and with that the battery has lasted 4 days. I am pretty sure with all the features turned on, it will last a couple of days at best. Now as for the actual data that it produces - I measured two metrices and compared it with dedicated oxy meter and HRM. Both the measures were pretty similar to what I got from much expensive dedicated devices so that's great. The sleep tracker is somewhat dicey. I am not sure if it tracks the sleep well as every day I get "excellent" sleep rating even when I sleep bad.All in all, it is good enough to try out new tech but not enough to make it primary health monitor.

Just not accurate
So, I was excited to receive this product especially for my husband who is dealing with some health issues. The pros on this ring are thus: it charged easily, instructions were fairly easy to understand, installing the app easy, ring is lightweight and looked good on. Sadly, this is where the pros end. Before I begin with the cons let me preface by saying that this smart ring technology is still new to hitting mainstream markets. Currently, you do indeed get what you pay for and this is less than 100 while most good smart rings will set yu back a few hundred. If you are truly looking at a smart ring, make the investment to a good one. That being said, the cons are many as this ring just needs more work. We installed the app and everything appeared to be working fine until we compared to his smart watch steps and found them to be seriously off. Not only that but the sleep score wasn’t consistent to his Cpap score. His oxygen scores seemed fine but would only take a reading via the app despite having set the app to take continual readings. We just couldn’t get decent accurate readings. So overall, not the best and I can’t recommend.*As a Vine Voice it is an honor to give my honest review on items I genuinely need or have use for in order to help you make an informed choice. I hope my review helped you. Peace.
