Great when trying to re solder loose connections on chips mounted on circuit boards.
I used this solder flux in conjunction with a heat gun to cure intermittent opens on a component chip on an older stereo receiver I had. The combination of heat gun and solder flux repaired the open connection under the problem chip.

This is very good flux for PC through hole and SMD work
This is great flux for PC work or even point to point work. It doesn't burn at normal soldering temps and it's pretty easy to clean and it doesn't leave nasty hard deposits on the board. It comes in a very convenient syringe dispenser which makes it easy to control the amount of flux you are using. It's made in the USA too which is unusual these days. I'll be buying more.

This guy flux
Ask any solderer who gives a flux what the key to achieving satisfactory results is and they will all swear: flux! I've built an audiophile kit amplifier using a cheap 40w Weller with no built-in temperature control by plugging into a fan speed controller. Flux core solder is nice, but it will always be easier when you've got some flux paste to make the metal flow. You can have all the heat, but if it doesn't transfer effectively you'll just melt stuff. Is it good value for money? Try soldering without it. Is it easy to clean? Are any flux easy to clean? With enough alcohol anything is possible.

Excellent flux but definitely not NO CLEAN
There are plenty of options to choose from in this product arena, and this one works well at a good price point. I don't use flux on a regular basis and will probably never run out, so the price is a great value to me. What I wish, however, is that there truly was a NO CLEAN option here. The solder works extremely well and I have no complaints, but there is definitely residue that needs to be cleaned off after use.

Missing items
My first one was missing the needle point to actually apply the flux so I ordered a replacement and what do you know same problem. If it doesn’t include it then maybe say that somewhere. Or check that product has everything before shipping it TWICE. Really useful without it
