Must-Have for Caregivers
It's amazing the little things we take for granted day-to-day. I'm a fellow with a bit of a schnoz, and am completely accustomed to tilting my head back to accommodate for that when drinking out of a smaller glass (e.g. a champagne flute, yikes). But for someone in their 80s with back and shoulder problems, that just won't happen! These cups are a lifesaver in those circumstances, as they let you keep a more natural head position while drinking to eliminate any discomfort of potential for choking. If you're searching for them, you know exactly what I'm talking about here. This one is nice quality, and the handles have ample space for the person using it to grip, be that a caregiver assisting or the individual drinking. It's easy to wash and the materials all seem pretty good. I'm glad we have it in the cupboard!

Nice cup for the elderly.
Thank You , Much better description of this cup. I would definitely recommend this cup for the elderly who still have good function control. This is a good honest company. Again Thank You👍

Helpful Cup
I work in the Health Care industry, and have spent time feeding elderly and post-stroke patients. Ensuring they drink enough can be challenging. This cup eliminates the physical barrier of having to tilt the head back to drink the fluid inside. A person with normal function would just use a straw, but not all people with swallowing difficulties can. This cup has a nice cut out "nose" section for a person to be able to drink with their head in a more natural position. The two handles on the sides work similar to a "sippy cup" for a toddler. They help the person steady the cup while they hold it up to their mouth to drink. I like the fact that the cup holds exactly 8oz/1 cup of fluid. It is very helpful to keep track of the volume of fluids drank during the day. The handles and base detach from the cup. This is another great feature because if someone has difficulty eating food chunks often wind up all over the place. I would say the only drawback to this cup is that it is not weighted. A weighted base would be helpful to stop it from sliding off the table when the person/patient is trying to get a hold of it. This is only true for certain people however. Overall this cup is a great purchase. I strongly recommend this purchase if it suits you or your family member's needs.

Wish it was weighted
Works great but easy to knock over on the table.

Awareness while filling cup
My husband who has a stiff neck along with his Parkinson’s has difficulty with a conventional cup to drink from.I was hoping this curved lip would help, but the higher side still touches the top of his nose, still preventing him from drinking from the cup well or even emptying it. Also when poring some liquid, one has to be aware not to fill it too high as the lower side will allow the liquid to spill over. The plastic is very light, which is good as the disease progress as the patient can have difficulty holding anything of weight.
