Nyx: A Dark & Dirty Sinners' MC Series, Book 1

Gritty. Dark. Enticing
I seriously enjoyed this read!If dark and dirty is something that entices you, this is right up your alley. Nyx is the man of men among his MC and the things he does to appease the inner demons is nothing short of shocking. Now to find a woman thatβs accepting of that long term? Not likely. This book was twisted and dark in most areas. The topics are hard to read sometimes, but we all want to think that the anti-hero is out there. Every woman wants the man that would burn the entire world down to save her.Check your trigger warnings! Enjoy!

Nyx &Giulia
4.5 StarsI loved both Nyx and Giulia. They were great characters and definitely had a lot in common in their personalities. Both are strong and dark. The sex scenes were fantastic. Not only steamy hot but also intimate. They helped to connect the two on a very personal basis. While Nyx & Giulia get their HEA in this book there were quite a few things left opened by the end of their story and that's why I couldn't give this 5 stars. I understand that those things will be addressed in the next book but I wanted a bit more closure in this one.

Dark & Sexy!
Oh my! Serena Akeroyd just keeps drawing me into this dark and dangerous world of motorcycle clubs and I am happily following this white rabbit all the way to MC and Mafia universe sheβs created. Nyx was perfectly dark and delicious!Guilia and her brothers return home to the Satanβs Sinners compound after an untimely tragedy. Guilia is young in years but her battles have aged her. She loves her brothers and didnβt want to lose that connection but an MC lifestyle is not what she envisioned for herself. She has a plan and this stint with the Sinners is meant to be temporary. Until Nyx.Nyx is dark and twisted and lethal. Violence and power emanate from him without him having to say a word. Everyone is afraid of him. Well, except for Guilia. She irritates him, ignores him, and insults him. She also manages to soothe his demon. Oh, and she turns him on like no other. His need to protect her is so strong! This story is gritty and sexy. The characters are wonderful. The writing is smart and the story moves with absolutely no slow moments. Even side characters are robust. Thereβs a cameo from the Five Points crew (youβll find them in The Air He Breathes and Filthy Rich). Nyx was just plain fantastic!

Hard to rate. Let me explainβ¦
Iβm going to preface my review with the fact that I do not typically enjoy MC books. Women are referred to in derogatory terms by everyone, including other women. I find the lifestyle of βexpected polygamyβ (βcheatingβ implies a level of guilt that the men will never have) for the man to be gross, especially when he gets to choose from a pool of women who I never like. Then again, youβre not supposed to like them - theyβre the bad guys because they sleep with married/committed men and have no shame, feel no guilt and continue to harass all women equally. Oddly enough, I donβt have a problem with violence in books so if Iβm in the mood for something a little darker, then I would gravitate towards βmafiaβ romances. Which is how I came to read the 7 released Five Points (or Filthy Feckers) books by this author as well as the 2 Valentini books. The author provides a reading order that encompasses all of the crossovers with the Sinners MC books. So while not something I would typically read, I gave this book/series a shot.Written in dual first person POV (with a couple chapters from minor characters or future main charactersβ POVs). Good amount of sexy times between the main characters but there are also sex scenes between the male MC, Nyx, and his regular hookup (Cammie is not his girlfriend and he doesnβt share her, so itβs exclusive but not committed). Some people have a problem with that so I thought that Iβd warn them in advance. Personally, I only have a problem if the MCs hookup with someone else after they start seeing each other, i.e. cheating. The plot is fairly simple but does pick up towards the end. The MCs have a HFN but there a few big loose ends that almost make this book end with a cliffhanger. You be the judge. One of my bigger issues with this book was Giuliaβs attitude. Itβs clear that she doesnβt like the club girls (thereβs another name for them but Iβm not sure if itβs allowed). Sheβs hostile towards them from the beginning. I understand that her mother had issues with her father βcheatingβ and instilled in Guilia that the club girls were not to be trusted, but it would have made more sense if she firmly told the girls that she wasnβt interested in any of the guys and that it would be best for everyone if they left each other alone. And that actual clothing is mandatory in the kitchen (seriously, ew). Her decision to fight fire with a bomb is ridiculous (G gets her hair pulled and headbutts the chick, not a proportionate response). It took too long for me to want to like her. Beyond that, there were a few editing issues and the book was repetitive in some places and outright drags in others. Iβll continue with the next book in hopes that some loose ends are resolved.

Dark and twisted romance.
Don't go into this book looking for a lovey dovey romance because this is a dark and twisted sorta romance between two individuals who don't do love and find a connection from their own demons that causes them to start a relationship between each other. This is a dark and twisted world this author paints and you either have to be able to focus on the story that will unfold and get past the way this lifestyle is portrayed to understand these two characters. This is not a light book and it doesn't romance this world it gives a crazy ride into a man who has demons to deal with and a girl who has her own and coming together in their own darkness of a relationship. The characters are very much the same in ways never loving and wanting to scare away others so they don't have deal with more pain in their lives. So if you like dark and twisted storylines of a dark MC this is a good book to read. It has a cliffhanger of sorts because the storyline will continue into the next book. This was my first book by this author and I felt she did a great job of portraying this dark world that is gritty and raw with some taboo injected into the story. Definitely recommend if you want something dark with some suspense added into the mix.

Oh Nyx!!!!
Hmmm if ever there's a man a woman would want, in her bed or in the shower, then I truly believe that Nyx is that guy!! I mean wow!!But then there are those women, like Guilia, out there who just gets all the luck!! And then to top it all off, you find it's all in the book you're reading!!Although, so men like Nyx truly exist?? Hmm I'm not so sure, or at least I've never met anyone like him, but I'd sure be open to ππππIt's a brilliant book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading and listening to it. There's plenty of action and not just under or over the sheets ππThe narrators for this book are the brilliant C. J. Bloom and Connor Crais and they bring the book from good and hot, to great and scorching!! Bringing Nyx, Guilia and the gang rearing from the pages, making it an exploding experience. So would I recommend both the book and audio?? Yes 100% so go get yours today and enjoy ππ

Intense, Filthy and Raw
Nyx gives us the real and raw way the MC people are. Nyx is rough not only on the edges but his entire personality is twisted and serrated as his past might have messed him up but today he is man that not only has destroyed his own demons in a way darker and horrible way but continues to extinguish the preying dirty monsters that still linger. That start of the book itself gave me the chills.Nyx is the Club enforcer of the Sinners MC and he might be a man who doesn't like sharing but no woman will ever have him completely as he has a head that's twisted and no one could handle his roughness in the first place. But that woman comes who's not only a daredevil, spitfire and strong woman with a Filthy mouth but she's one of the only ones who goes toe to toe with nyx.Guilia was one crazy but sassy girl and she not only scared me but I was in awe of how freaking on fire her attitude was and how she never backed down and gave as good as she got.A slow build of chemistry between Nyx who's almost a decade and a half her senior and Guilia, the daughter of Nyx's crush made for not only an on fire read but also had me on edge as to when would these two finally come together. That scene towards the ending had me shook with what happens and a testament to how strong and crazy brave Guilia is and how she takes charge even when she's powerless. This one sure has set stage for many things to come as so many questions are still unanswered. Can't wait to find out what happens next. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

Dark, Brutal and ohhhh so sexy!
Our brooding and crazy hero, Nyx, meets his match in Giulia, a strong and fairly crazy woman. This one is dark, and violent. And it has non-con rape scenes discussed, as well as vengeance taken. But it was well written. So well written.Serena Akeroyd gets you into the heads of the characters, so you understand their motivations and desires.Yes, the sex scenes are hot - but this book is way more than that, and well worth the read.

Gritty and so good
Loved this so much. It was great to reread it and get to know Nyx and Giulia all over again. Theyβre from a dark world that has left them with jagged edges, but those edges fit together like puzzle pieces.

Loved it
Dark, unapologetic without being too graphic. An MC romance that actually has some intrigue, solid characters and storyline. Giulia is a gutsy no effs given type of chick which makes her perfect for Nyx the Enforcer. This is a multiple POV which actually weaves more depth and intrigue into the story and builds anticipation for the subsequent books. Standalone but does have an ending that makes you want to continue.
