Works Well, Adds Options to Your Tech, Thoughtfully Engineered
Android and associated tech limitations necessitate an investment of time that I don't want to commit to since I'm utterly comfortable with PC OS and literally only use the phone as a phone, to take some photos, and listen to media. My media library is too large and ever evolving to keep things synched between devices as I'd like.Enter Memory Stick Pro Duo Adapter. It's the solution I've been seeking. With a terrific array of memory card reading options it lends flexibility to achieving your goals. The instructions are short and simple; the unit is pretty much plug and play. YAY! I totally appreciate tethering of the USB to the C power/access ports, this is a time saver as what I want is rarely in the immediate vicinity and often requires some digging around. This reader feels and behaves as a good quality component should, solid and reliable. It's not draining the life from my Android's battery at an accelerated rate, either.Another problem that this great little card reader overcomes for me is a failing SDHC with its companion USB card in my laptop. Laptop is old and due for replacement but I want to put that off for a bit longer. Now I don't have to shag my SDHC to my media dedicated laptop for access. I don't want to network for security reasons. Bluetooth transfer is not nearly as efficient as this plug-and-play device.I find the parts a bit tight, it takes some effort to remove media and port plugs, but I think it's worth the little extra effort. Things stay securely in place when you're on the move. This is a great card reader with lots of options that makes managing files between devices a breeze.I think it's a good value. The vendor dispatched my order request right away. A great experience from every angle.

Speedy
This is a handy reader and it is speedy! There are LED lights, which are very useful and I have had no problems in reading or writing cards to my newer Lenovo. Due to all the port options and the dual SD ports, it's a larger unit, just something to keep in mind if you travel with your reader. Many newer computers don't have a USB-A port but everyone has USB-A thumb drivers floating around. Personally I would like to see the dual SD ports change to single SD ports and a USB-A input port added in a future version, but that's just me. Anyways I have had no problems with this reader, recommend.

Great Card Reader
I needed a dedicated card reader when using my desktop. My computer does not have an SD slot built in so this was a much needed option. It is plug and play and works very well. I was able to plug in my micro sd card for transferring files for the 3D printer. The computer recognized the card and the transfer of files was quick. I only use SD and Micro SD cards so this is perfect. It comes with a micro usb plug as the main plug but the included adapter allows you to use it in a standard USB slot on a computer.Overall very nice, straightforward product.

Reads different memory card types fast and easy
My old computer had a memory card reader built in. The new computer I got last year did not have one; it did not even have a CD-ROM reader.I found this Memory Stick Pro Duo Adapter on Amazon, and it was just what I needed. My new computer has USB, USB-3, and USB-C ports. This reader is compatible with all of them. I needed it to read my SD and Micro SD memory cards, but it also can read more types.I got this reader in today, and it worked great reading my Micro SD, SD, and SDHC memory cards and transferring my data to my Windows 11 PC.

Cannot Recommend
Really sad to say that I cannot recommend this reader. As a professional photographer for the past 15 years, I've gone through many readers. They usually start out strong but eventually go buggy after a few years. This one started out buggy. I first tested the USB 3 adapter straight into the top of my PC (win11 gaming with high end everything) where my normal reader plugs in and found that my computer simply would not recognize this device no matter which of the two slots I plugged it into and no matter which of the SD slots I had a card in. I then moved to a USB hub and bingo, it worked! Started transferring a handful of raw files over only to have it blink out mid transfer and tell me that my card was corrupted (see photo). Figuring it could be the adapter or maybe something I did during the transfer that caused the problem, I decided to give it another go via the USB C plug. That worked like a dream. Super speedy with both Micro and standard SD cards. I transferred maybe 100 gigs of data this way, both down and up with no problems. I was just about to chalk up the bad card to the adapter when I decided to try a CF card, still via the USB C, the CF card being the only one plugged in. Blinky lights but nobody home. Reader would not show me anything. Moved that card to my usual reader and everything worked fine. Cards were all 128g Extreme Pro, San Disk cards. So, while the micro and SD cards worked like a dream via USB C, my experience with the corrupted card via USB 3 and the nonexistent CF card make it so that I cannot trust this reader or recommend it to anyone else. I'd actually gotten it to give to my kid, but it will instead be going into the trash bin.

Item was DOA - Updated
Plugged it in via USB-C and USB-A to my laptop. Both methods give a green indicator light showing that the device is receiving power. Instructions say that a light is supposed to light up when you insert any of the cards. I tested micro-SD in both available slots. No lights and computer didn't see it. I tested a CF card and no light and computer didn't see it. Item is defective and I am not going to go through the hassle of returning something I received for free as they want the old item returned in order to get a replacement. Hard pass. Do not recommend.UPDATE: The vendor contacted me about my review and sent me a replacement card reader. The replacement does work as it should and will do what I need, but I feel the need to point out that this one has a broken socket on the Memory Stick port. I was able to kind of fix this, but quality control doesn't seem to be that great. Going to give them another star, but there are some issues that they need to address before I would purchase an item from them.
