Drum Throne - Cello Stool: adjustable from 17" to 24"

I bought this for cello playing, which requires a lower seat. I am 5'3", and most of the drum thrones don't adjust down enough for me to sit level and comfortably on the floor. After tediously looking through the height adjustments on the other stools, this ended up being the only one that could adjust low enough for my height. The stool isn't very heavy, so it's fairly portable. Legs are sturdy. Assembly was simple. There are less expensive stools out there, but I think you get what you pay for here. New to cello stools? Don't buy the "horse" kind that looks like you're sitting on a giant bike seat. Not appropriate for cell playing...great for drumming though!

Difficult to assemble. No instructions enclosed. Seat does not mate well with the shaft of the stand. Product was returned as it was not usable.

It's well made, you need a drum key to adjust the seat. I got it for my spouse to sit almost at stool level for gigs.

This is solid stool, with no wobble at all. The height adjustment covers just right range, and I imagine only true giants or midgets would complain. It is very easy to pack and unpack it for travel. It is not cheap, but the quality is worth the price.During the initial set-up, however, I realize that the metal collar which marks the right height requires a special screw driver to loosen and tighten. I happen to have one ready, but other people may not.

I bought this item for my son for Christmas. He uses it all the time and finds it comfortable. Great item for your money.
