🌍 Grow Green, Live Clean!
Coco Coir for Plants is a 1-pack of 2.2 gallons of compressed coconut coir bricks, weighing 1.5 lb. This natural potting soil is low in electrical conductivity (EC) and pH balanced, making it an ideal growing medium for both indoor and outdoor gardening. Easy to use, simply add warm water to expand the brick into a rich, sustainable soil mix that promotes healthy plant growth.

Very Economical and High Quality - Excellent Orchid Potting Media for Collectors
I bought Envelor Coco Coir Chips Orchid Potting Mix for my greenhouse plants (about 200). I use it alone and/or mixed with sphagnum, pearlite chunks, and/or Hydroton Expanded Clay Pebbles. This media allows free air access to roots, is lightweight (a bonus if you ship), and very resistant to decomposition. Some things I particularly like about this product:- Economy vs. other media. The 10lb block expanded to fill 3/4 of a tall kitchen garbage bag.- It is easy to wet. Some orchid media is so dry that it is hard to get to begin retaining moisture.- The chips are sized well. I use it for Cattleya, Dendrobium, Phalaenopis and many exotics.- Mix in some sphagnum to improve water retention for phalaenopsis and other that like more moisture.- Mix in some expanded clay pellets to speed drying for orchids that C. walkeriana and others that hate wet feet.Negatives- I was unable to break up the 10lb block. Before you start have a plan to dry out the expanded result.

Great for someone with lots of indoor plants
I have over 200 indoor plants and I just recently switched to a soil free aroid mix. This product combined with the same size coco choir husk chunks and I was able to repot all my plants with some leftover. Good quality will definitely buy again. Be warned it’s heavy and will expland more than 5 times its dry weight.

Super fiber product for plant soil mixes
Coco coir is an excellent component to replace peat in a high-quality growing medium. I combined this product after re-constituting with perlite and worm castings to re-pot seven medium (9" pot) to large (18" pot) plants today, and still have a couple bricks left for future projects. The dense, strong brick is essentially indestructible in shipping and all (two 3-pk in a box) arrived with no damage. Reconstituting in water takes only a few minutes, and the product is then ready to integrate into a soil mix at proportions you deem appropriate for your plants.I wasn't exactly certain how much the product would expand, and it achieves at least a 2:1 expansion ratio and once reconstituted, performs like high-quality peat with no sharps. Reconstituting bricks set flat in an open-top tote tub worked best, so two bricks wouldn't wedge and distort a 1-gal bucket. I also like that this is essentially a waste product finding an excellent use, rather than our boreal forests and heathlands being torn up for peat harvests.Mixing with this product is extremely easy, and the soil mix I produced was simple to handle, fluffy and nutrient-dense with the desired permeability characteristics. This product's performance as the fiber component is excellent. I'm quite pleased with this product and will happily order more when I run out.

Planting medium
I'm not a gardener but the wife is and she loves this stuff. I holds moisture like no other. She definitely likes the way she can rehydrate and place it where its need in the garden.

Good mulch, but expensive
Good mulch, but too expensive as it covers only a small area.

The small brick was perfect.
I only needed a small amount to plant one Sago palm so a brick was just right. I followed the instructions on the package and it was easy, easy. So thankful I was able to order a small amount and perfect for my pot.
