Extremely informative regarding wooden utensils. Excellent reference for a woodworker or green woodworker.

As the title implies "a short history" that's the key. The book has many good sized pictures and goes into detail about the objects like what kind of wood they're made of and the history of them . A lot of the pieces in here are in museums and not obtainable by the average collector but there are other pieces like mortars, snuff boxes, spice mills, spoons, etc. that are. There are other books out there since the printing of this that are more detailed and cover the same ground but even so if you want to educate yourself or are just curious this is a good book to start with.
