I prefer the red mode and it is really bright.

This is a decent basic light, with one minor annoyance. The included 18650 battery is marked as 2500 mAh. Prior to installing, I ran it through a test at 500mA where it shows a capacity of 1887 mAh, which seems reasonable. Installing the light was simple enough. The instructions are easy to follow. I like that this unit lets you choose a mode, whether off until movement, on at 30% until movement, when it goes to 100%, or where it stays on all night at 50%, regardless of movement. For me, the 2nd option is ideal. Also, I really like that this unit includes a warm white bulb, and to my eyes, the bulb is near perfect, around 2700k. But unfortunately, in addition to the welcoming, warm light, there's also a bright green light related to the mode selection. I wouldn't have such an issue with the light if it was placed more inside the brim of the light or facing back to the fence. Instead, it's just below the brim and facing directly out. This green light is bright enough to see even when looking directly at the bulb, bright enough to see in daylight, and it stays on 24/7. It's like I've left out one lonely Xmas light, year around.

At least the indicator light worked for a day but the bulb never turned on. You world think 2 days off din would be enough to power an LED bulb, tried 3 different bulbs and none worked.Also don't let all the patriotic crap on the box and instructions fool you, these are 'designed' in America, but no mention of where they are made because it's 99% China. Misleading advertising and a poor quality product.A replacement is being sent.

I am very pleased with the performance of this solar barn light. I have tried 4-5 solar barn lights in the past five years, and each one initially worked well but later malfunctioned or stopped working entirely.With low expectations, I decided to give this light a try. Although I intended to install it on my patio, I was unsure how it would function without direct sunlight. I tested it by leaving it on my patio table for over a week, trying different modes, and was pleasantly surprised by its excellent lighting performance.Before installing it, I considered drilling a hole in the siding, but I was concerned that it might stop working if I did so. Instead, I found a creative solution by drilling between the vinyl overlapping, which worked out perfectly.I have set the light to 'motion-only' mode since I have other motion lights on my walkway. I also like the low light mode that increases brightness when motion is detected. Despite not being in direct sunlight, the light lasts from dusk to dawn on 'motion only'.I'm so thoroughly impressed with the functionality and performance of this barn light as it EXCEEDED my expectations!I highly recommend this light to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient solar barn light. It would also make a thoughtful and practical housewarming gift.

Love this light. Most of the solar lights I was finding didn't look good. Love that this is the barn style light. It was really easy to install on the side of my shed. I was able to set the mode I wanted so we have constant light but get's brighter if there is motion. I really like that option so we can see without it being obnoxious - we are in a more rural area without a bunch of city lights so when someone has a bright light on all the time it is noticed!

This was easy to install and setup, but it is very very dim. If you’re looking for an accent light this is nice, but if you’re looking for a legit light this might not work for you.
