This works great for Christmas puddings
This works perfect! Highly recommend it. Made mincemeat Christmas pudding with it. Making another for New Years.

PERFECT!
This was perfect to make my mother's heirloom persimmon pudding recipe. When I make her persimmon pudding recipe, it is cooked on a large pot, with the water coming 2/3 of the way up the cooking mold. I love that the lid secures well, so that when I get the mold out of the water bath, the handle on the top of the lid is strong enough to lift it out of the water. Persimmon pudding is not quite like a true pudding. It is more a very moist bundt cake. So delicious. While I am cooking it in the water bath, I put this mold on top of a small circular metal cooling rack, so that the hot water can circulate around the mold as it cooks the persimmon pudding. Again, this pudding mold is perfect!

Great Pudding Molds!
I have been looking for something other then coffee cans to steam a family Christmas pudding recipe. I bought two of these and one of my recipes of pudding fits perfectly. They sealed well and when greased with butter, after letting the puddings cool a bit, it slid right out and held it's shape perfectly! Very pleased!

Trying an English Pudding for the first time...turned out great!!!!!
Is very lightweight and smaller than I imagined. I am looking forward to using this pan and it should make just enough pudding without too much left over. The downside: on arrival I had 2 small dents in it on the bottom of the pan about the size of your fingertips. There were also a couple small scratches on the outside. I intend to keep and use this. Should not affect the pudding. I have the Great British Cooking: A Well Kept Secret cookbook and am eager to try this steamer out. I am going to attempt the recipe on the pudding box first.*****3 hours later.....made the pudding on the side of the box recipe, added some dried cranberries and vanilla. Created an orange butter sauce (3 tbsp butter 3'tbsp confectioners sugar 3 tbsp brown sugar heated stirred over low and added 3 tbsp orange juice heated to boil and remove from heat imediately stirring briskly)with it which cut the sweetness of the molasses. Someone just got a free recipe..... The pan seems to work great and I used small amt of boiling water and a rack. Should work great for you.

Easy Operation
I specifically purchased this for the locking lid. I have topped unlidded bowls with pleated, greased parchment paper and aluminum foil and taped it and tied it down with string. It’s fiddly and time consuming and a right pain in the rear. The locking lid is the way to go. I had hoped it would fit in one of my Crock Pots. It is just a wee bit too large. BUT it fits very nicely into a lidded Granite Ware, on my stove’s simmer burner. It’s easier to pour the water down the side of that, rather than into the Crock Pot. It’s a nice size, and it can be partially filled for smaller puddings suitable for 1-2 people. It makes nicely light, moist and fluffy cakes and cleans up easily. Highly recommended.

Easier to make puddings!
I've yet to make a Christmas pudding in this yet but can already tell this is going easier to do than it was my crockery basin that was accidentally broke. This metal pudding tin has a solid weight and feel to it and the lid snaps on tight! I'll probably end up making other puddings more often because of this! Partially because of the handle to get it out safely, the non stick properties and much easier to pour and cook. One wouldn't need to wrap and tie it like I had to with my crockery. Clean up will be a breeze! I think it's good value for money! Should have bought it ages ago

It's beautiful!
I'm so used to my Grammy's old plum pudding pan, but I think it's ready for retirement. Can't wait to use the new pan to make our traditional pudding for Thanksgiving. It's chock full of candied fruits and peels, raisins (the plums), molasses, and some wonderful spices. It also contains ground suet, which is getting harder and harder to find. I also bought a cute little rack to keep the pan off the bottom of the huge pot where the pudding steams for 3 hours. Can't wait to try out my new pan. One thing is crucial is the ability to lock the top of the plum pudding pan so he simmering water can't get into it. This pan look as though it will do the job very well. Happy holidays, everyone.
