I'm absolutely thrilled with my new dashcam! The standout feature has to be its impressively large display, which makes viewing footage a breeze. Installation was a breeze - I had it up and running in no time, even as a novice. The picture and sound quality are top-notch, capturing every detail of my journeys with crystal clarity. As an unexpected bonus, the reverse parking feature has proven to be incredibly handy. It's made maneuvering into tight spots so much easier and safer. Very impressed by this. Very complete kit, with all cables and memory card needed. Simple to set up and link to phone, Android auto connects immediately. There is no delay on startup from switching on takes less than a second to connect which is much better than the original in the car !! One reason for buying this one is that you can add apps to it (from their website) so no need to touch phone, I'm able to launch spotify etc direct from the touchscreen. Sound comes from eithe rthe device itself, or through the car audio system - again easy to operate. Very impressive device - now my son wants one !!

All that for much less that£100, you really can't go wrong. Easy to set up, connected first time and can put my phone away and forget about it. It's brilliant.

When I first got the product I was impressed and laid it on the dash to find the best location and used it for a few days with Blue Tak to make sure I had it in the correct place. However, when I came to properly install this into the van, I came across a few issues. The first one is that the main USB-C power cable has a right angled end which when testing it laying on the dash seemed a great idea. However, it is right next to the sub mini 1/8 inch jack connector for the reversing camera and you CANNOT connect that and the main power in without turning the main power upside down and that means the cable is pointing up and visible above the unit. Secondly if, like me, you have a curved dash and need to use the flexible stand, there are two issues: a) the screws are too small to screw into the rubber mount (they simply pull straight through and b) the mount is very wobbly. I cannot comment on the security of the adhesive, but that does look not fantastically strong. Because of the cabling and getting the mount to adhere as well as possible it is easier to unscrew the mount from the main screen with the thumb screw. However, it is very easy to lose this (as I have) and then you have to buy a replacement M3 Thumb Nut as it is impossible to get hold of the seller for a replacement part. If I had not already stuck the mount onto the dash, I would have been sending this back to Amazon (which I very rarely do). I cannot recommend this device because of the connections and fitting. There does seem like there are better options out there for about the same money. One last thing is with respect to the MIRRORING or AirPlay. This does work, but it is really cumbersome as you have to turn off eh CarPLay and then sway the WIFI connection so that it will work with AirPlay or Mirror Cast. It pretty much makes the AirPlay facility useless as you would never go through this process whilst out, parked up , charging and wanting to catch up on whatever.

Really good for the price does everything you need it to do. Sound quality could be a little better through AUx

Bought this to add Android Auto and a decent screen to my 20 yr old car. Very easy to install and is pretty much plug and play. Screen is good and clear, audio is solid (I use it wired and not the FM jammer) and it is responsive. The built in dash cam is very good and very clear (I haven't installed the rear camera yet so cannot comment on that). Maps work as expected and all functions are available. I use a streaming platform for my music and this works well and as expected too with good sound clarity through the speaker. Phone calls work fine and also messaging. I use Google and the voice function seems reasonably responsive, but I cannot comment on CarPlay as I do not have an Apple phone. However, I do have a few gripes, so dropped 2 stars: The mount is terrible, especially the flexible one, the screws do not hold the main post as securely as the solid base, so it wobbles a little on bumpy roads. The adhesive patch that it comes with is about as sticky as a piece of paper, it lasted a day and then it fell off. I have had to buy replacement sticky pads from another store and replaced it, it seems to be better but again because of the weight of it, it's not perfect as I can see them starting to lift slightly already. Finally the power charger that runs it is powered through the cigarette lighter, so I can't have another charger plugged in (without using an adapter) and use the screen at the same time. The charger does have a USB port on it but it's a very slow charge, so my phone actually de-charges quicker than it charges when using it, so its a pointless exercise Overall, I do think you get value for money but it's not perfect. It's less than £100 so you cannot grumble for that as it is functional if you can get over the little niggles that come with it

Got this Carplay model as a different one was returned when the reversing camera did not work. Works very well, impressed with how quick it connects to my phone and car radio. Easy install - had to get a longer cable for my van. Screen size ideal showing navigation and spotify selections. All appears good in first month - recommended.

This replaces another system that I have been using with Android Auto. It works at least as well in all functions, but the clarity of the screen absolutely blows my other unit away. Amazing clarity, responsive touch-screen. Since I already had a backup camera, I hadn't intended to use this one, but after a quick bench-test, decided to wire it up and now much prefer it! Sound from the built-in speakers is too low; you will want to have it connect to external speakers (wired or bluetooth to car radio). It does get warm, but not dangerously hot.

This ESSGOO CarPlay is super convenient! The wireless connection is quick and smooth, making it easy to sync my phone apps, especially for navigation and music.
