Like many products of this kind, it's always a gamble. They're cheaply made and a certain number will always be faulty. This one was dead even before it got into the water. Unfortunately, I was unable to present it as a gift until after the returns window had closed, otherwise it would be going straight back.I can't be sure whether both battery packs are dead (after the recommended 3 hour charge) or whether there is a fault in the circuitry (though everything appears to be soldered in) but it doesn't work at all (though the light on the controller does light). A tell-tale sign should have been that the small screws for the battery enclosure on the controller and the seal on the boat housing weren't even included in the pack.

Well so good had to buy again got one for grandson now one for granddaughter(she was so jealous lol and would never give him it back).It comes with the extra battery which is a huge plus,The power-its super powerful which make it move at a good speed. The remote is easy to operate.My grandchildren love it, if they can get it away from the grandparents.I might even get one for myself. It is made of durable material and and stylish,banged a few times and it just kept on going,rolled over and it came right back up and still sped along with no problems .Great build and kids love it..(pictures to follow off boat on pond ,forgot my phone)

The expression on my friend’s child on his birthday when the boat worked on the water was mindblowing. He was so happy and during their 5 days stay he forgot about all other toys and once uttered: “magic” when the boat worked on water. Really a great gift idea.

We love this It is brilliant and so much fun. I bought this for my 4 year old but the whole family have loved playing with it on our local canal. The battery lasts about 15mins and then is quick and easy to recharge. The hand held controller is so easy to use, it’s light and small so children of all ages can use it well. We love the colour because we can find it wherever it is. It’s fast and fun. I will be buying another one of these for my brother for his birthday.

Perfect for under 7 year olds as a first boat, but way to slow and boring for any child that likes things to move a little faster.. we brought this to replace an old one that we lost the charger for and these were a good price, so got one for each of the boys, they were way to slow and the kids lost interest straight away so returned them

My son has played with thus a few times now (Christmas present) it is a good rc boat, however I am only giving 2 stars due to the fact that it only came with one battery and not the two advertised, and also it had two screws missing, one from the controller to gold the battery's in and one from the boat itself.

My boy loves this boat, its more powerful than you think in the water and comes with an additional battery pack, only given 3 stars though because one of the wires on the USB charger was loose and didn't charge the batteries so I had to buy a new charger.
