Works great as advertised

The overall design is excellent. Where this product falls short is the design QUALITY. The Velcro used to secure the band around the ankle is very low grade so it ended up wearing out and not holding securely. It even fell off my ankle once.The other grievance I had is the Velcro that secured the Fitbit to the band. It is really good and secure. In fact so secure the seams separated and now it’s in danger of not being able to hold the Fitbit securely inside the mesh area of the band.What needs to happen is the Velcro that secures the Fitbit inside the mesh area needs to be double stitched and they need a better grade of Velcro that secures the band to the ankle.I purchased two of these because early on I saw that it those two problem areas would eventually be problems and I was right. Like I said, the design and comfort are excellent. If they changed those two issues, it would be 5 stars.I hope the seller and/or creator sees this review and makes those two changes. I even thought about buying a sewing machine and making the upgrades myself. I’m pretty handy so it wouldn’t be a huge challenge for me to attempt.Plus it’s already not working properly so there is no fear of messing anything up. I would just buy a third or see if there was another manufacturer of a similar product and there are a few on here which would be cheaper than buying a sewing machine just for this one item.

Wishing was a little longer to put just below the knee above calf. Having it down at the ankle makes strap look like an ankle monitor and you'll get funny looks. OH WELL... The Fitbit fits perfect inside the pouch and the velcro will not come undone! When you remove it may feel like you'll rip the strap but you won't. That how strong the velcro is. If you want, you can where it on your wrist as well. Super comfortable and you hardly know it's there.

I bought this so I could stop wearing my Apple Watch on my ankle. I decided to wear the pedometer and my Apple Watch on the same ankle for a few days just to compare the steps. The pedometer is always at least 1100 steps less than my Apple Watch. The fit was good but I don’t trust the count.

This Ankle Strap Band with Mesh Pouch is functional, but I found a couple of serious problems with it. The mesh pouch is too small for even a basic pedometer (ex. Neskla's EDPedometer), and the Velcro that keeps the pouch closed is far too strong. Along the same line, the velcro on the ankle strap itself is way too strong. I doubt an elderly, feeble person could work it. I keep the ankle strap under my sock because I have to clip the pedometer onto the strap because it won't fit in the pouch. I put the sock over the pedometer so it doesn't fall off. Given that, part of the hook side of the strap clings to the sock every time.
