STEELEXD4647 Miter Trimmer

Works very well to shave the edge for an exact fit for trim. Is not designed to cut the trim only to shave the edge. You will need to make you a rough cut with a miter saw. The saw does not have any rubber feet to protect your floor you'll need to put a piece of cardboard under it when using it on hardwood. Of course it is made in China but it is fairly good quality for Chinese merchandise. The cutting-edge is a giant razor blade be very very careful. It got my knuckle once.

Works really well. I make picture frames as a hobby. I make the 45 degree cut on a miter saw leaving enough to shave with the miter trimmer to make a near perfect joint. Note: I had to make a slight adjustment on the Miter Trimmer. The 45 degree wasn't quite perfect from the factory. Works really well.

Used these years ago to trim my new home -- and will use my Bosch glide miter saw to rough cut trim now before fine-tuning with this. It's more time-consuming and old-school, but I like it.

Dovetail saw, this thing, you’ll never use a power miter saw for molding again unless you enjoy kick back or having your fingers close to a spinning meat cleaver.

Used on three perfect custom frames. What a great improvement over just a miter saw cut!
