The Blackbird, fly is a twin-lens reflex camera: one lens is used to expose the film, while the other is used like a viewfinder. It's famous style of camera whose history stretches back to the 1920s. Unlike most twin-lens reflex cameras, which take larger 120 format film, the Blackbird, fly uses 35mm film - which you can process, scan and print at any one-hour photo store. In addition, there are two ways for shooting. First, hold your camera on your waist level and look down using the waist view finder. Second, use the sportsfinder for quick photo shooting. The Blackbird, fly can take pictures in standard 35mm film format (24 x 36), but using different (provided) mask, it can also produce square format pictures (24 x 24). You can even remove the mask entirely and make a larger square format image (36 x 36), which fills up the entire width of the film, including the side sprocket holes. ** Film is not included **
