MDXONE Aqua Kids Ski/Snowboard Harness with Retractable Leash, Polyester, Nylon, Unisex

This harness trainer is a game-changer for teaching kids how to snowboard safely and confidently.The retractable leash is a brilliant feature that allows me to guide and support my child as they learn to balance and maneuver on the snowboard. The absorbent bungees provide just the right amount of resistance to help them stay upright and in control while preventing sudden falls.

I use this harness for my 3-yr old. It's his first season on the slopes. We're starting him with snowboarding.The MDXONE is significantly more expensive than the cheap knock-off harnesses. I've tried those. The difference is vast.1. The handles of the MDXONE are significantly thicker and more durable. For the most part, especially as my kid was first starting to learn how to balance on his board, I really wasn't using the leash. I was standing right behind him and stabilizing him with the handles. I can pick my kid up with one hand, reposition him, save him from a spill, put him on the magic carpet or lift -- all with one hand thanks to the durability of these handles.2. Along the same lines, the harness system is way more comfortable than the ones you get on the knockoffs. The loops for my kids legs, the waist and chest straps all adjust so that there's no slack and no discomfort when I have to maneuver him around.3. The leash, and particularly the Y fork, is also just so much better designed. A lot of the knockoffs I've seen have a single point connection between the leash and the harness. The problem with that is that you will have no directional control over your child. If they don't know how to balance already, then the single connection point is only going to make things worse because you're going to compromise their posture. The Y fork allows you to have two points of connection. The MDXONE suggests a couple of different configurations but ultimately the point is that having two points of connection means I can control his angle of descent and his speed without compromising his posture.

This backpack we purchased for our 4 year old to learn on his second year of snowboarding and couldn’t be happier with it! Great purchase for new boarders ! Very durable and fitting for 4 years old but could also fit younger with snow gear on.
