Since no one is selling locally that I can find we buy regularly through Amazon. Arrived in tact and on time. Wild variety of pricing though and changes frequently. Great product for those who love Branston Pickle

Ugh!
I like trying new things so I thought I'd give this a try. Sorry, but my opinion is that it is gross. Looks and tastes horrible. Went right into the bin.

Pickle!
I thought cheese and Branston pickle sandwich sounded really good. It's just plain weird. I have to figure out something else to do with it. It's essentially a very tart pickle relish. Perhaps on a cracker with goat cheese?

Great to add to cheese sandwich!
I love the chunky, pickled feel of Branston Pickle as I ate, tho my memory experienced this one as a bit sweeter, more mellow tasting than than than the sharper crisper taste of older memories. The variety of versions/flavors of the Pickle did not exist at the time when I lived in UK so it could be the one I chose is no longer the one suitable for my taste buds.

A taste of home
I grew up eating cheese and pickle sandwiches... living in America now, I have to occasionally indulge in a jar. This arrived in perfect condition and was delicious.... writing the review reminds me I need to order another.

Not at all what I expected
As a colonial, I don't often get the chance to try authentic Brit foods, so when I found this one, I decided to give it a shot. It arrived in short order, properly packaged and intact. Evidently, the only way to eat Branston Pickle is on a cheddar cheese sandwich, so I did the best I could. Unfortunately, I was out of cheddar, so I tried it with the closest I had, which was Havarti. Not bad, but not what I was expecting. The flavor was a lot milder than the aroma suggested, and the texture was not as crisp as I would have thought for a pickle, but overall palatable. It struck me as one of the "acquired taste" items, like cilantro, boiled peanuts, or durian. I'm not throwing it out, as I said it's palatable, but I'm not reordering it either. I can now strike Branston Pickle from my list of foods to try and I'm thinking that I'll try haggis or Scotch eggs next. After this one, how bad can those be?
