These knives are SHARP! Purchased them as a gift for my Boyfriend as he just got into smoking meat. They are phenomenal! Every slice is with no effort at all! Perfect shape, size, and quality. I would highly recommend this set.

The product itself is great. The knives are sharp and the fork is nice too. Iron Grillers however needs to have words with Amazon on their shipping practices. The knife box was simply put in another box and shipped. No packing at all. The box the knives were in had come open and the knives were loose in the box and the carving knife was out of its sheath. Luckily there was no damage or nicked edges so I didn’t need to return it. Very nice knife set though.

I don't recommend this as a gift for ex-spouses or anyone else who might hold a grudge against you. "Razor sharp" doesn't even begin to describe it. Holding the knife carefully at an angle and looking down it renders the blade nearly invisible. Seriously, people, don't give this set to careless sorts! These could take off an entire fingertip before you knew what happened. That said, several notes. Firstly, they are not German made. They are unmarked, but the box says made in China with German Steel, which in actuality most likely means made in China using a German Steel process. They are unstamped, so make of that what you will. It doesn't mean the set is bad, just that it is not German made. Secondly, "pakkawood", in case you don't know (I didn't), is a combination of wood and resin mixed. It looks printed on, but is considered to be a very desirable handle. This one is lightly decorated and cleans easily. The knives are well balanced, easy to grip and easy to use. The tang goes all the way through. But point four, the cardboard sheaths are cheap (although the box works well for storage) and they came with no care instructions whatsoever. Pakkawood does need to be cared for, as do all knives, so please research how to do so. Don't go putting them in the dishwasher. The only way to truly know the composition of the blade is to wait several months and look for rust. I kinda think I won't see any. I think these are stainless, but that's ok with me. I prefer rustless, stainless steel anyway, because I have a good sharpener and keep my blades honed. So I'll call these a good set of very sharp knives, but likely a bit misleading in the labelling, and will update the review if one breaks. Four stars.

Great knives! Carved through a brisket like butter. They are not only sharp, but very pretty!

This is a great set to have on hand for grilling. You have a great boning knife, a great slicer and grill fork. The knives have a great guards so no unhappy accidents while storing these. The knives have good edges and there are nice divots on the slicer to avoid from getting caught on the meat. The handles are solid and good quality. They feel comfortable in hand, not too heavy. Would definitely recommend!

These knives are nicely made and very sharp. The handles are weighted and fit well in my hand. The full tang makes these very nice and able to take a lot of pressure. The metal feels sturdy and holds an edge well. I washed these in the dishwasher and hand dried with no issues.I will note, the carving knife is so long. It is perfect for cutting wide briskets. It will fit in a standard kitchen drawer, but with no room to spare.

I’ve needed a good long slicing knife, and I was using my regular boning knife constantly so it seems to need sharpening frequently. Having a backup boning knife would be great. I’m not a big fan of rivets in handles. It’s a full tang in the handle, but rivets are just weak spots and places for food or other icky stuff. The brisket slicer came well sharpened and I was able to slice through a piece of paper with ease, but the boning knife wasn’t as sharp. I eventually got it through paper, but it wasn’t as easy as the slicer. I’ve honed it, but it really needs sharpened, which is very odd. The sad little knife covers could really be a bit more substantial, or at a minimum be closed on all sides. The tops of all the covers are completely open. It covers the blade fully, but just seems for a nice knife set, it should include nice covers, not halfway cardboard ones. In the long term, I believe I’ll really appreciate these knives. Fortunately I have a knife block I can store them and the fork in, and I can hone or sharpen mine as needed. I just think for the money they should arrive already sharp with good covers. The issue of the rivets in the handle, only time will tell if they become a problem. I’ll update my review if needed. Recommend with reservations.

I always wanted one of these long meat carving knives. I would see professional chefs using them and wondered if my servings would come out better if I had one. I was very pleased with the quality of this knife set and I was very pleased when my servings were easier and better. It is sharp and stays sharp and cuts super well. The fork and trimming knife are equally impressive. A really nice set.
