WOW! VERY IMPRESSIVE SELECTION OF PICKLES!
I collect cookbooks. Not so recently, I have collected books on pickling (my oldest, most used tome was published in 1917! However, this book has FLAT OUT blown me away with its expansive width and breadth on the nature of pickling. Kelly Carrolata, the author, leaves no stone unturned and will have you pickling anything........and almost everything.........in a matter of moments!I not only HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book to folks who want to pickle their gardens..............but to every cook and chef I know so they can learn a thing or two about pickling that I can say, without a doubt, THEY'LL BECOME MORE THAN WHAT THEY WERE YESTERDAY!BUY THIS BOOK IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT PICKLING: YOU WON'T BE SORRY YOU DID!

Tiny print. Tough to read while canning.
Great content in this book but once again it was printed in China. That means small print which is hard to read while one is in the process of canning. I am becoming wary of any thing printed in China. I'd rather pay more and give the work to printers in the USA or Canada. Why make the Chinese rich while they are trying to blind us!

Lets all get pickled
With this book you WILL learn the basics needed to get good at getting pickled. Pickling is a great way to preserve food that you can trust. Get heirloom vegetables and shy away from the GMO's. Dont let big business slowly kill you with the trash they are feeding us. Take the power back and pickle your own food.

Very inspiring book
This book is very beautifully written and very inspiring. I love how the items are grouped by vegetable and fruit - so if you have a lot of one kind of thing in the house during harvest season, you can decide on how you want to deal with them.

Not the same as canning.
While there may be some heat processing for some pickling, canning is always heat processing. Pickling uses vinegars and salts to preserve. There are lots of recipies and ideas for pickling vegetables here.

worth the buy! if you are interested in pickling or canning this book is worth it, so many recipes from all different tastes all in one place. none of the recipes have failed me yet!
