Yuck
This is not a tasty flavor. It is the only Kava product I have tried, but after this, I will not be ordering any more. Not only is it yucky and has an after taste...but I do not feel calmed by the consumption of this product.

Good Stuff ✨
First off: If you don’t feel affects after the first few packs, don’t give up. These work wonders for helping to curb my social anxiety.Other notes: Odd flavor but it’s not bad. Maybe in the future, there could be more flavor options? Overall though, this product chills me out. Will continue to buy. I suggest mixing with more water than recommended for a more diluted taste.I also frequently buy the 12 pack of Leila cans. I like the cans more but these packets are more convenient for on the go events.

Not too shabby
For a seasoned kava consumer, the taste is pretty mild. Yes there's the bitter taste, but if you mix with juice, iced tea, apple juice.. It cuts the bitter taste. I had two packets and felt some effects. Not as strong as other companies, but if I run out of my favorites... It's a good back up. It's also a great starter kava drink for beginners.

Taste not good
The taste is like a version of Nyquil.

So gross
I’m trying so hard and hoping the taste becomes more bearable but oh my goodness this tastes disgusting. How this made it out of the taste test process before going on sale to the general public is beyond me.

Review from a Kava drinker
I think I am one of very few reviews who have a reference point with Kava, so stay tuned for a comprehensive review. I will be judging by taste, effectiveness, convenience, and other.Traditional Kava is typically enjoyed in a social environment as a way of unwinding after the day. This sort of eliminates that by allowing you to take kava on the go and make it convenient. I’m on the fence about this, while I love the way kava lets you unwind, I find myself missing the social aspect that typically comes along with kava drinking. With that being said here are the rating comparisonsTaste:Traditional Kava is an extremely acquired taste definitely a 0 or 1 out of 5 stars, it tastes like earth and dirt, but the first cup is always the worst.Leilo Kava is a 3 out of 5. It definitely does not taste GOOD. However, it is heaps better tasting than traditional kava. It did still have the typical tongue numbing feeling which I always enjoy.Effectiveness:Traditional Kava:Typically one doesn’t measure kava intake, but it keeps you very relaxed and can give you a slight “buzzed” feeling. 5 out of 5 stars as this is the baseline.Leilo:As noted previously, it did give me the numbing effect on my tongue almost instantly. The calm was almost instant and did made me feel buzzed but I could also feel the effects of the sugar which gave me a slightly jittery feeling. This somewhat counteracted the point of drinking the kava. Because if that, I give it a 3 out of 5 stars.Convenience:Traditional Kava:Traditional kava is a powdered root that is put into a mesh and sort of strained/hand mixed in the kava bowl. If you are the person preparing the kava, it’s a 0 out of 5 on convenience. It also makes a very large amount, so if you wanted to just makes a single cup for yourself…well, I don’t know if anyone has ever done that!Leilo:5 out of 5 on convenience. Super easy to just tear open a packet and mix it into water. It dissolves pretty easily and the packets are very small and easily portable.Overall, I would recommend this product. I do wish they made it without the sugar because I think it counteracts some of the effectiveness and doesn’t really help much with the taste. If you have no experience with Kava, this is a decent intro, the berry helps mask the flavor slightly but it’s still quite bitter. This is not going to be like drinking a typical flavored powder mix.

Horrible taste
There was a strong artificial raspberry flavor attempting to cover up the bitterness of the kava. I could barely choke it down and poured out half of the first class.
