The size of the bowl is perfect for either a salad or a single large bowl of soup. The glaze is a very pretty rich tan color. The price was half that I paid for a cup that looked exactly the same from another company.

It is very large, which is what I wanted. Beautiful color, sturdy, etc. I would recommend it highly.

I use this for my classroom to make mac & cheese or to cheat up soup. The holding part of the mug does not get too hot. It’s perfect! It’s easy to hold, it’s not to big, and every easy to use. The color purple is also cute! I do recommend it.

The mug has some heft and isn't thin or feels likely to shatter easily. It came with about one-quarter to one-third of the bottom rim having a rough section. It doesn't affect the mug's ability to retain heat or hold its contents; it's a quality control issue.I've run it through the dishwasher without issue.If you plan to use the mug for hot tea or coffee, I suggest preheating your mug while your beverage brews. The first use was with hot coffee and I found the cup pulled enough heat from the coffee to notice it cooled more rapidly than my usual mug. On the second use, however, I preheated the mug with some hot water until my coffee was finished brewing. The mug retained the heat from the water after I poured it out and kept my coffee pleasantly warm long enough for me to finish it.A similar approach would be useful for soups/broths.One star removed purely for the lack of the finishing/smoothing on the bottom rim.
