Color Me Beautiful Make-Up Book

I’ve had a copy of this book for many years. I was delighted to be able to buy a fresh copy for a good friend.

Totally turned me around from pastels to jewel tones which revolutionized my look, wardrobe and confidence.Can't say enough good about this book and its affect on folks like me! Thanks!

Years ago I had the Color Me Beautiful book, but at some point gave it away, or sold it on Amazon. Years later, I wanted to find my colors again, so I got the makeup book. After reviewing the book, I remembered how I could never decide what I was, summer or winter. I have decided that the cool colors are best, so I made some progress, and am probably most safe with summer colors. There are tests to determine which season is best, if you cannot decide between two. (There are 4 seasons) For me I found it was best to decide by process of elimination. The rest of the book seemed to be alot of non-color-essential filler, like how to apply makeup, and hair and clothes styles. So for the low price of a used book, I got more information than I needed.

Never could quite figure out what “season” I was, even after reading this book when it first came out and I was obsessed with this idea for awhile when it was a fad. Now, looking over it again, I am “Autumn”, but haven’t been convinced those are the only colors to wear...fun to read, dated of course, but I like to have it around for reference on occasion!

Was advertised as a picture type book.No photo a waste of money

A must-have book in my opinion. Yes, it is from the 80's so the pictures are out of date (I personally love the 80's so this doesn't bother me one bit), but the information is timeless. Definitely an excellent reference for anyone who applies seasonal color analysis. Includes clothing colors as well as comprehensive makeup lists, skin care advice, and more. I also own the original Color Me Beautiful book. If you don't already know what your season is you should get both books.

I really enjoyed Carol Jackson's makeup book...it's just that it was a tad dated, and that's why I gave it a 4...still it was a treasure of great information.

I am a firm believer in Carole Jackson's original 4 seasons approach to personal color analysis! Truth never goes out of style. Anyone who wants to look and feel their best, should should adhere to these principles!

Good book for anyone interested in make-up. A bit old fashioned at times, but the basic principles are the same. Plus, it only cost 10p. I have Carole Jackson's original Color Me Beautiful book, and I still get it out and have a look at it. This one will probably be the same.

Bought this for a bit of nostalgia.

J'ai acheté ce livre parce que j'ai vu le nom de l'auteure et que je cherchais des livres d'elle. Bien sûr, j'avais aussi lu "make-up" mais je pensais qu'il contiendrait aussi d'autres choses ; je ne me maquille pas beaucoup, alors... ce livre est surtout concentré sur le maquillage et donc j'ai été déçue et ne compte pas le garder. Je conseillerai ce livre à celles qui sont intéressées par le travail de Carole Jackson et qui se maquillent !
