Perfect for IFR Training
These foggles are exactly what I needed for my IFR training. The design blocks out just the right amount of peripheral vision while staying comfortable for long flights. They feel sturdy and well-made, and I like that they don’t slip off easily. Definitely a great buy for any student pilot!

IFR Foggles
As described, they fit great into my flight bag. The case is sturdy as well. Better than the cheaper alternatives

Works
Works for the c-172 and c-152 that I’ve been flying around in and I appreciate that they are darker rather than just the frosted over shop goggles most trainers use. Helps block the sunlight so it’s easier on the eyes when training during the day. Case it comes in feels cheap but it protects them from getting all scuffed up so I won’t ding em for that. Glad it comes with a lanyard so you can have them readily available in flight rather than hanging them on your shirt or placing them somewhere and trying to dig around for them. Easy on, easy off. As far as value goes, if you have the time or I guess motivation, you could easily make these at home with some shop glasses you buy from your local hardware store for a couple bucks but for convenience sake I think they are worth it.

Not comfortable, but ok most of the time.
Not very comfortable and temples are too short, hurting your ears. They do block the sight vision pattern well though… but could be improved for comfort.

Not great for price.
Cost on these are probably $1 from China using cheap safety glasses. And man does the part around my ear hurt my head under my headset… I wish they were more comfortable. And at minimums it’s hard to pull these off quickly.

Best alternative to a real cloud
These are excelent for IFR training. In a bright sky, the frosted foggles often light up so much that it's hard to read the aircraft's instrument panel. The traditional hood on the other hand can be a bit awkward to wear and is not very comfortable. When you need to train for your IFR and there aren't suitable clouds around to fly in, these Foggles will do the trick just fine. I wear them over my normal glasses without trouble.

Doesn’t work very well for glasses or headphones
If you wear glasses this is gonna be difficult to put on and stay on securely. I had to fiddle around to position it around my glasses and sometimes need to move it up. There just isn’t enough space for anything but the smallest lenses. Still beats wearing a hood. Another problem is its thick temples mess up the seal of headset cups, which makes for a very loud flight. I’m replacing this with overcasters.
