Well made and relatively easy to build. This storage unit is well built and fits togther really well so long as you follow the instructions which are well written and easy to follow. Good internal space, really good value for money. Excellent discount on Amazon prime day too!

A superb productHigh quality, sturdy materials.All the parts were clearly labelled and the instruction booklet was clear and concise.Ignore any reviews that say it was a nightmare to put together, it was a dream. Took me 2 hours on my own. Assistance not needed. Anyone who can read and use a screwdriver with a modicum of common sense can put this togetherI avoided using a drill or electric screwdriver. All the screws and bolts lined up perfectly. Where there isn't a hole for a screw to go in, there is an indentation.Simply put the screw against it apply pressure through the screwdriver and being self tappers, the screws make their own hole. You may need to substitute the screwdriver for a spanner as these self made holes are tight. But of course it makes them more secure.It's weatherproof. Looks amazing and does exactly the outdoor storage job it was purchased for.Well done Lifetime!

The parcel was heavy and the package carboard box came broken at the bottom as the delivery man dragged it across the ground. I was afraid that items came out of the box and there are missing parts from package because of that but wasn't the case. They delivered all items even the package box was open.Mounting this box is a job for professionals. Basically to be able to mount this item you need an impact drill and to know how to use it else you are exposed to accidents or/and property damage. I worked a decade as designer engineer and I know what I am saying. If you don't have this tool or you don't know how to use it you will have troubles putting this item together.Mounting process is noisy, so prepare your neighbours for about 2 hours of loud noise coming from the place where you have intention to do the job.They delivered my item at the front door and the garden is at a lower level so was necessary to unpack and move every part down trough a 12 steps stair. Moving entire parcel as arrived was not practical because was too heavy.You need to study the manual and a Youtube clip (there are several clips, for me was "Lifetime 116-Gallon Outdoor Storage Deck Box Lifetime Assembly Video" - for other sizes are other clips) together to be able to do the job.The process is difficult and time consuming, for me was about 2 hours (add half of hour of rest on top of these 2 hours - is absolute necessary). The most of this time was for transport of the parts down stairs, study the manual and watch the Youtube clip. The work itself was about half an hour of intense physical activity. During this half an hour of activity I observed that there are many design errors of this item. The most serious error is that the some screws are cutting in plastic if they are only slightly over torqued (you can see these screws after 6 minutes and 50 seconds from beginning of Youtube clip mentioned above). It's so simple to put an aluminium metal protection to avoid metal screws cutting in plastic!You don't need two persons to mount the lid, a wall or, if you are in the garden, a tree to support the lid while you are mounting it can easily replace the second person.At the end, when was necessary to put the lid on top of the box it looked like they are not fitting. I thought I did something wrong and is necessary to undo and rebuild something. Doing this would be very difficult and would practically damage the item. Studying again and again the manual and the Youtube clip I realized that I only didn't understand very well how to fit the lid on top of the box (the part where Youtube clip say that two persons are necessary to do the job).After finishing the job I obtained a good looking and sturdy storage box.Because they didn't recommend to their customers a professional person for doing the mounting job of the item as they should and didn't give enough instructions for a safe delivery and because of the design errors I would give to producers 3 stars for this item. The Youtube clip is making this job to look way easier than it is in reality. For example the guy in the clip is sliding the lid support slow and easy (you can see this after 4 minutes and 15 seconds from beginning of Youtube clip mentioned above). I used a hammer to do the same "easy" slide.In my opinion they should provide an optional mounting service of the item.I give them 4 stars instead because of their intention to deliver a product above mediocre. I think they deserve to be encouraged because of this. The high difficulty of mounting this item has the good part that if is successfully finished the result is amazing. Indeed, if you can forget their errors you will be able to look at a good quality product hoping that will last "lifetime" as the name of it is. There is hope that these errors will be avoided in the future and next time you will buy a much better item. I see potential for this to happen.

Easy to assemble, and as it rained heavily the night i assembled it i can state that it is completely weather proof! Also Strong enough for my 20 st to use as a seat. A very good quality product.

Absolutely over the moon with it. Bought a different one for £40 last summer which clicked together no screws and it didn’t even last a year. This product is very strong and robust, fairly light weight to be able to move around the garden easily. Do not be put off by reviews saying it’s hard to assemble. I nearly let this stop me purchasing and I’m so glad I didn’t. All you need is an adjustable spanner, screw drivers and a power drill. If you have all of those things and follow the easy steps you can set this up within 20 minutes. The actual box itself takes 5/10 minutes it’s just the hinges on the lid which require some time with the drill and the spanner but a beginner can follow the instructions with ease. Amazing box looks great in our garden and very high standard and quality.

Super easy to assemble.5. Large enough to store what we need to store without being overly big.6. Muted colours so blends in with surroundings.7. Excellent value for money.As a perfectionist I like things to be right, value for money and do what I expect of them.So a big tick on all counts! I really can't fault this product.Needs to be assembled but only took me about 30 minutes. Even if you have no experience instructions are easy to follow and assembly is straight forward with the minimal amount of tools.I really cannot recommend this product enough!

The media could not be loaded. Lifetime 60040 Deck Box, 130 Gallon, Desert Sand. I purchased this box for extra storage space, it’s exactly what I needed. It’s deep and wide and weather resistant. It kept all my stuff dry & protected during the recent Helene hurricane winds & rain. Its looks great and is solid as a rock. Wasn’t difficult to put together either, took less than an hour. Would definitely buy this brand again. 100% Recommend

Bought it as a campsite storage to take with us in our minivan.Even though it's a little bit inconvenient, still can carry it by myself.Pretty sturdy and convenient to use.Didn't have issues with assembly. Instructions are reasonable.Since it's all plastic, need to be careful with screws and not overscrew them.It got under irrigation sprinkles on the campsite, but stuff inside didn't get wet.Cannot tell, though, if it will withstand a heavy rain or snow.But it works for me and I like it.The price seems to be reasonable ($260) for what I got.

We’ve had the larger version of this chest on our patio for several years. And even through these years of Minnesota’s weather extremes it is still like new. So we decided to add this smaller version on our deck. It has excellent quality. I notice some reviewers comment it is a little difficult to assemble. On the contrary, I found if you take your time and follow the well written instructions there is no assembly problem. Plus it can be helpful to watch the company’s YouTube assembly instructions. I can’t vouch for the waterproofness of the chests because I go one step farther, I seal all the seams. I run a bead of silicone on the inside of the bottom and side seams. I used GE Supreme Silicone this time but any good quality silicone sealer will work. This step may not be necessary but I’ve always been sort of a belt and suspenders kind of guy. I’m looking forward to many years of excellent service from this chest.

'Heavy Duty & Built To Last.' Purchased for the storage and use of car wash items. One of the best items I have ever purchased, sure beats unlocking the garage and carrying this/that/everything piecemeal and time consuming every time my daughter wanted to wash the car; even holds the vacuum and extension cord. Really appreciate the one piece lid and dual gas-rams to hold the lid open too. Expertly packed with reinforcement for rough shipping, easy instruction/assembly with a phillip head screwdriver, small wrench, ratchet and socket in about an hours time reading the instructions twice and double checking every step. I'd originally planned to build my own design out of wood but never got around (3+ years) to doing so and glad I didn't; I'd have spent at least double in materials, likely days building, hardware, painting etc., plus heavy, needing maintenance and eventually painting in the future. This one is a beauty, sturdy, light enough to move, watertight, and maintenance-free. Happier than a seagull with a slice of pepperoni pizza! A1, A+, 10/10, 5 stars and would highly recommend to others!

Had a little difficulty assembling the deck box. It was missing 2 pieces of hardware. However Customer Service was excellent and sent the parts out immediately with no questions asked. This is sturdy, attractive and holds the 8 large cushions from my patio chairs. It appears to be water resistant because there are no observable openings for rain to seep in. It's definitely strong enough to be used for additional seating. The lid closure operates smoothly and holds the lid open to make loading things into the box easy. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
