The media could not be loaded.  I’ve had this handheld clothes steamer for several weeks and am more than satisfied with its operation. It’s the best lower profile steaming iron I’ve used and I’ve already donated my old one. There are lots of features to love about the YASHE steamer. Firstly, I no longer have to deal with trapped water residue. With my other steamers I had to constantly clean the insides with a toothbrush to prevent the residue from steaming out onto my clothes. I love that the water reservoir is detachable. Though the manual suggests emptying the container after use, I am comfortable detaching it and storing it next to the steamer, so long as I plan to use it within a day or two. The reservoir is translucent and the unit casts light, so I always know the water level.While this is far from the size of a hosed steamer, I find it good enough to steam wrinkles out of photo backdrops and tablecloths. It’s comfortable to hold and easy to sweep across large sections.My favorite feature is the trigger button. It’s in the ideal place and is adequately responsive to my touch. The ability to request two levels of steam is also nice, as are the mesh and brush attachments that lock into place. I don’t see where I can buy extra mesh attachments, but I think replacing the mesh myself would be easy enough to do based on the attachment’s frame.The power cord is long enough to use this steamer just about anywhere, and it’s flexible enough to make everything easy to maneuver. It’s also lightweight and doesn’t pull down the steamer should you set it on a counter and let the cord dangle.The unit runs quietly and disperses steam evenly. It doesn’t leave my clothes wet feeling.I wouldn’t call this a travel steamer per se. It’s a smaller profile handheld that could fit in a suitcase should you need, but there are more compact ones out there. Though I think if I had to take my own steamer on a trip, I’d make room for this one.

I have a full-size professional steamer that I have used for years and consider irons a thing of the past. So my interest here was in finding a steamer that I could travel with - especially as I was traveling to a wedding and wanted to be able to show up without excessive wrinkles.I used to have a cheap portable travel steamer that did the job, but took forever to steam a single garment. This one does a much better job than that old travel steamer - and without the spitting & spotting, but I think it's too big & awkardly shaped to practically travel with. It does not fold, so it's much more bulky than some hairdryers. I'm just taking a star off for the not-for-travel aspect of it.Otherwise, this pumps out good steam, relatively quickly, and with no real spitting or sizzling - and seems easy and straight forward to use. And it feels pretty darned solid & well-made - which is why I think it has a higher price tag than the lighter, more travel-friendly models (which often feel like cheap plastic and will spit, etc.)As a portable steamer, this is really for when you just have 1-2 items to steam - not for your laundry. Get a bigger pro-like model for that.So, in a nutshell, I think this is a good solid steamer that does the job well & quickly, but I think it's too big & heavy to travel with - and otherwise definitely recommend it.

This is a great portable steamer, it doubles as an iron in horizontal mode if you're in a pinch. It gets hot quite quickly and gives steam within 30 seconds.However there are some drawbacks, though most of it are minor. The major issue is the unintuitive controls. The power button turns on the steamer and preheats it with is fine. However past that is not, you need to press the stream trigger button to activate the steam, then press the power button again to toggle between first or second stage steam. I tried for quite a bit to try toggling the steam modes using the trigger steam button. This is just an initial pain as once you know the controls then it's not an issue.The second drawback is that it takes quite a while to cool down. Because the unit supports horizontal steaming with a metal face plate, it gets pretty hot there (not iron hot) and stays hot for an extended period of time. The nozzle portions are hot enough to vaporize water splashed onto it so do not touch that area at all, it was deceptively hot.Other than that, the steamer is great. It works vertical or horizontal with a decent sized water tank. The first setting for steam is a bit low but the second setting has plenty of steam generated. I'm personally going to use this for around the house disinfection mainly, and only steam clothes once in a blue moon.I would recommend this if you're using it at home, however if you're travelling then you need to make sure you have enough time to let it fully cool down before packing it up. I would say at least an hour or more before it's safe to handle again.EDIT: I've since tried to dry this after using it and it's nearly impossible to get water out of the water reservoir, the design of it means there will always be some water left inside. It's been air drying for a couple days and it still has pooled water inside it with no way of getting all the water out easily.

I don't like to iron my clothes, but with this steamer it is so much easier, I just hang my clothes, connect the steamer to the electrical plug and in less than a minute I can steam my clothes.Not only it removes the wrinkles but it also helps to clean coats or clothes that cannot be put in the washing machine.I thought it had a battery that was rechargable but it is not the case, but overall it works flawlessly.

This steamer works great! It is able to hold a large amount of water inside, and steam for quite a while. It gets pretty hot, and is able to remove the wrinkles quite easily, just move the steamer over the item slowly, and the wrinkles are gone. It basically removes the need for an iron. It is nice that it has an auto off function to keep the steamer from burning the clothes when the water runs out. It gives me confidence when using it! I really like this item!

The lack of a carrying case or over-the-door hanger makes it less convenient for packing and using on the go. If these features were included, it would be the perfect travel companion.Overall, I highly recommend the YASHE Steamer for its impressive performance and large water capacity. Just be aware of the travel limitations if you're looking for a steamer that's easy to pack and use on the go.
