Anaconda NX-5 Long Handle 36" Shovel

It is a VERY handy and strong shovel. I love it. I use it for metal detecting to dig in treeroot-infested-soil and in grass. It cuts greatly true it all. It seems not stainless steel but other iron with very thick coating so okay for years to come. I also use it around my house to dig out bushes or trees with heavy roots that can not be done with a normal shovel. The NX-5 Anaconda works GREAT in such jobs. The top iron notches prevent a shoe or boot to slipping off which gives you a firm grip. It is not too heavy so there are no negative things to say. If you can afford it... just buy the NX-5 and enjoy your whole life with it.

I have used Spade shovels that don't dig as well as with this one because of the edge teeth on it cuts into the roots and gets in the ground just a little deeper..

Rock solid, bit heavy for field carrying all day but well worth and well built. Pricey but should last a lifetime.

May be a good shovel but delivered in really bad condition. The should have sent sandpaper and paint with it

Ordered 2 of these from another site, first one showed up with the tip bent, shipped it back and told them to pack it better, second one showed up better packaged but the tip still slightly bent, seems like the tips bend easily. Have yet to try it out since the ground here is frozen, hopefully it holds up, this is a pricey shovel for the tip to bend so easily during shipping. It does seem well built though other than that problem so I will give it 3 stars anyway.

Best shovel I have had hands down. I have tried several brands and most have no traction points on the foot peg or tiny kid sized pegs. the NX5 has great traction very strong wide pegs great for a man sized foot. I know its a gimmick but it also has a bottle opener built in. I own a Grave Digger tombstone and a Samson t handle both up for sale, if I can find any suckers
