FINALLY! The case I’ve been looking for with vertical AND horizontal stand capable!
I have purchased more cases for each device I own in my quest for the “perfect” case. How hard can it be to find a case that will stand Vertically for when I read books or scroll sites, AND Horizontally when I watch videos. And I like the portfolio style cover so I can protect the screen as well as just close the cover to sleep. The answer: VERY HARD.Many hard cases have some type of plastic swivel and no screen cover (I do not like the plastic window style. Even when asleep, messages and things will pop up and others can see the screen ). They are heavier and thicker than I like. Other 360 swivel portfolios only hold the iPad by the corners, and the swivel back makes the case thicker.THIS is the WINNER!!!! It’s slim, as only the back and cover. And the cover becomes the Origami stand for both portrait and landscape in varying angles. The back is magnetic so you can stick it to a metal wall or fridge if you want and read or watch videos when in the kitchen or wherever. The iPad is held in on all sides, not just corners. Nice and cozy and secure. Now, As I do not use a pen/pencil, I was annoyed this did not come in a version without the added space to hold one. I did ask the vendor, and they said there is one, but referred me to the case without the origami-like stand. The reason I wanted it. I wanted a case as small as my mini. Alas, I ordered it anyway (and I ordered a cheap pen since I would now have a space for one.) Well, let me just say I LOVE IT ANYWAY! The added pen space is not even noticeable. And it gives me a little extra thumb space when holding it so I’m not touching the screen. The pen is cool and I may find a use for it. But for not, my thumb likes it.

GR8 design, perfect fit, very good construction
Ecelent fit, easy to install, super folding design, sturdy, good looking, extra drop protection, not too thick to add excess bulk or interfere with charging cables. A bit expensive, but no other case does everything on that list! The multiple options for how to prop up my iPad mini are handy, and the Apple Pencil storage works great.Elegant packaging adds to the value as a gift, too.

fine case with some reservations
I'm writing this after several months using the case. I love the design and the fact that it can stand up quite stably in landscape (more than one angle) or portrait mode. It's nice and light and reasonably protective though not 6 foot drop at 20 miles an hour protective. The compartment for the pencil is very well designed. The price is also quite fair (the Zugu was $50).I've had a couple reservations however. They may be more production than actual design issues. In other words, I suspect there's some variance. The two big ones are that the holes and edges were maybe ever so slightly miscut. The edge of the charging port gets in the way. At times, I thought I was charging when the USB C connector actually wasn't all the way in. I have to push a little harder and more carefully to make sure it's right. The second matter is the edging around the screen is just a bit too tight. If you push on the outside of the case (say when you're trying to make sure the USB port is connected), it pulls the corners of the screen protector up which results in dust or bubbles getting between the screen and the screen protector. Finally, the flap over the screen is a little bit on the floppy side, likely a consequence of the origami design that makes the case so versatile in standing mode. This one's not a big deal, but it does impact how protective the case really is: it can fall open screen first even with the flap closed. My guess is that I got one of the ones in the production batch that were just a little off, maybe not defect level off, but annoying level off. It wasn't enough for me to return it, but I now feel like i should have been more insistent about the quality control issues even for a $17 case.

Pretty impressive protection and useful flexibility
I've been through a couple of Amazon Fire tablets and have been very pleased with their performance. I recently obtained the latest ipad mini to expand my tablet use. One thing I've disliked about these tablets is also one of their strengths...that they are super slim. They are slippery and don't return a very pleasant tactile feeling. They also have little to no protection from damage. This ipad case is pretty clever in how it provides a book like cover that also transforms into a foldable angle shape to support the tablet. The material of the case has a nice tactile feel and is not slick. It provides a much better grip on the tablet. The material appears and feels quite durable. It looks like it will provide a decent amount of drop protection. I currently have no plans to get an ipad pencil, but the groove in the case for the pencil is not a problem or in the way, so I wouldn't dismiss this case due to the groove for the pencil. I may even try inserting a normal ball point pin that will fit that groove just to have a pen at the ready any time I need one when I'm carrying the tablet. Just a thought. I recommend this case. Granted, I don't have a lot of time with the case for a long term durability test, but it seems decently robust. The front flap cover that is magnetic is definitely powerful enough to hold the tablet against a suitable metallic surface.

Perfect!
I love this iPad cover. It’s lightweight, a pretty color, nice texture/feel, and it folds into a stand equally well for landscape or portrait. I love that folding stand feature! I’ve had it for a while now and it’s holding up well. I’ll definitely get this again and would give it as a gift.

Very versatile and protective
This cover matches all my orange gear, and has many different options for propping up your ipad depending on what you’re using it for at the moment. Seems quite sturdy and durable, love the magnet in the back to hang on a fridge/etc and fits a pencil perfectly if you want but doesn’t add much bulk if you don’t.
