Works like a dream
I've recently moved and in my new location, the router is further from my computer than I would like. While my next purchase would have been a wi-fi extender, this had a stronger receive than the existing adapter in my desktop.I think this is a great option, also for those who don't have a wireless adapter on a desktop computer. It' lets you move your computer to other rooms rather than being tied (almost literally) to your router or modem.

Doesn’t work at all
It completely and conveniently stopped working exactly 10 days after it can no longer be returned. It’s a piece of crap and don’t waste your money.

Good connection
I've had no problems with it whatsoever.

If it is not a defective unit, this thing can't be depended on, even at its best.
Tested on WinXP Pro SP3 (does not work), 2 different Windows 7 Pro and one Windows 10. Using signal in both bands, various WI-Fi routers and also from phones in hotspot mode.-- At best, it was capable of peaking at > 130Mbps (AC router) but not sustain these for long. Commendably, it deliver this speed at about 40ft away (and also right next to source). Pity it is was always unreliable.-- On average, it would drop signal very often...and shortly after, it would often stop receiving altogether. Its Realtek driver control panel is of no help then. A reboot is often needed to regain signal :(-- Drivers for WinXP are nowhere to be found despite claims (not that many would need this but clients* of mine still keep some of these oldies for good reason. :)*I am a networking specialist, no newbie in these matters. I hate (never done before) giving such a low rating and will revise if a replacement unit is procured and performs properly.
