This is the first time I've got my son an RC car. I found this one and it is riding like a charm. There were many options but this was the one I wanted to get because of the reviews. My son likes this as it rides on tiles, wood, and carpet without any issues. Speed and durability are great.

This remote control car has provided hours of fun, and will undoubtedly do so for a while. This was given to a 6yo as a birthday gift, and was put through the wringer by him and a 3yo. They had a blast driving it both inside and outside, on grass and pavement, and making it go off little ramps they built. The controls are pretty easy to figure out, and it comes with two battery packs and a USB adapter to charge them, a small water container to fill it with water and use the spray feature, as well as a screwdriver to open the battery compartments on the car and the controller.Things I don't love about it - there are supposed to be 4 little covers that keep the shell on the frame, but I think only one has survived at this point. They fall off too easily, and while I don't think it will really affect general use, I'm not sure how well the shell will stay on without them. The car also conveniently came with a small Phillips head screwdriver which you need to open both battery compartments on the car and controller. However, it broke after the 3yo played with it for all of 2 minutes. You will also need to supply 2 AA batteries for the controller.All in all a fun toy, but quality could be a little better.

My twins love playing with this toy. I decided to upgrade the wooden cars to something more interesting. This was done more for educational purposes. When I use the controller I can drive the toy away and teach my kids what it is “far away” or “comes closer”, “goes to the right” or “goes to the left”. They learn something while playing with this toy.

Great truck, strong, decent speed, odd steering capabilities. Battery life is fair 15-20min constant. Very noisy. Not easy to drive practically.

The most annoying thing is that the battery is needlessly difficult to change. Once you figure it out its not bad but the instructions really need to be better.The plastic shark shell is held in place by press on plastic knobs which keep falling off.The joy stick on the remote control broke off while the car was being driven. The wheely bar on the back also broke off with normal use.The care is fairly difficult to steer and control considering the target age group.Overall, I cannot recommend this product.

This is a pretty cool truck! It is definitely a very good brand to have because it's nice and tough.

There is something profoundly wonderful about a monster truck. Add the image of a shark and it is even better! This toy has all the functionality you would expect from a remote-controlled car. It moves with ease and has enough grip on the tires that the flooring type does not matter. Briefly I took it outside and it seemed to not have trouble with grass/gravel.This was a gift for my young son (6) He absolutely loved it.

This little shark remote car is really fun and kids love it. The battery is a slight hassle to connect and to get in and out. The body has to come off, which is done by pulling 4 small plastic caps off of 4 plastic pins on the sides of the car. Then you gave to flip the upper part of the car upward to access the battery compartment, which is held down with a small Phillips screw. It isn't horrible but it's not a quick, simple process either. That is my one and only gripe with this car. The car comes with two batteries and a USB charge cable.The car itself is a lot of fun and is very easy to control. The remote is small and is sized for kids hands. The two joysticks control forward/reverse and right/left. The front wheels don't turn right/left, in order to steer, either the right or left wheel will raise and it will kind of hop in the direction you steer. The remote has 3 buttons at the top. The middle one will pair the remote to the car when you turn the car on. It will also turn the "smoke" and red tail lights on/off. The smoke is water mist, it looks good in the red lights and lasts pretty long between refills, of course depending upon how often it's used. A little water goes a long way in this car.The car has some pretty cool features. Hold down the right side button and the car will hop left and right off the front wheels. The left side button turns the music on/off and engine sound effects if you select that mode when you switch the car on, otherwise, the left side button switches between fast and slow speed of the car. The car will wheelie and can de driven on the rear wheels. While on the rear wheels, it can spin around in fast circles. When turned on, the LED lights under the body light up, so it can be played with in the dark. It runs over most any surface, indoors and out. It does work best on smooth surfaces though, for the spinning tricks.Overall, I give this an easy 5 star rating. Kids as young as 4 can control it and love it. The older kids do too. Excellent beginner RC car, great price!
