Ordered the 3-ring binder and got the fireproof file box instead
Not totally disappointed as the box is very good quality and allows me to store some stuff I had not really planned on initially. The File Box seems to be a high quality file box with a zipper closure and flaps to protect the zipper area. There are web handles on the side which make it easy to move around when full of files. Bos is made of good quality fireproof material and has rigid sides but folds up flat when not in use. Still need to get a binder though.

Large three ring binder with a zipper.
This is large three ring binder with two pockets. The material they use feels durable and the stitching is good. It has a smooth working zipper that seals the binder up well. This should give you peace of mind in an emergency, and will be easy to grab during your quick escape or if you're not at home, hopefully withstand the fire. If water gets on the folder, it should be able to withstand some of it, but may seep through the zipper if it's drenched or submerged. Definitely better than a normal folder though, and if you combine this with storing it in a fireproof box, you should be good.

Great for Organizing Important Documents
The Docusafe is a nice three ring binder with two inner pocket and a zippered closure to keep contents contained, which would help support the claim that it is dustproof. The exterior has a rubbery feel, but is apparently "non-itchy" 3 layer silicone coated fiberglass. The interior is lined in flannelette, which feels slightly textured. The binder has some substance but isn't heavy, which would make it more easy to grab and go than using a heavy fireproof safe. I have no idea which would be more fireproof. The card included in the packaging says "nothing is completely foolproof, but added protection is always a good idea". I don't know that anything is really fireproof - maybe fire resistant - but admittedly hope to never have an experience that puts it to the test. The part of the binder that makes me skeptical is the zipper - it would seem fabric wouldn't be fireproof. If nothing else, the Docusafe is a great motivator to organize your important documents that you would like to be able to quickly access in the event of a fire or even an evacuation. I would think using page protectors would help to keep individual documents secured and in place.

Peace of Mind Protection
This binder is very spacious and you can put in a lot of trading cards or important documents. I haven't tested the heat resistance so I will take their word for it.

Heavy Duty Binder
Years ago, I had the wisdom to organize my important documents. Previously, I was using a standard 3 ring binder from an office supply store. It was working fine, but when I had the opportunity to try out this "fireproof" binder, I jumped at the chance. The positives: The notebook has 2" rings instead of the 1" of my previous binder. There is a pocket inside both the front and back covers. I used a lighter to see if the "rubbery" protective cover would catch on fire. I only did this for about 20 seconds, but it looked the same as before my experiment. There are 2 zippers used to close the entire notebook. There is also a small hole in each zipper that I assume is for a small lock to go through. The negatives: I struggled to get the zipper to go around both the top and bottom corners closest to the spine when closing. No problem when opening. When a flame was put on the material that is part of the zipper and used to form a border around the whole notebook, that material melted. I used the bottom edge for my test with the lighter, and after a short time I was able to see the metal frame that was under this material. The warranty for this product states: "Nothing is completely foolproof, but added protection is always a good idea." I totally agree with the statement. Thankfully, I have a larger "fireproof" container to put this document binder in. In case of a real fire, there are no guarantees in life, but I hope some of the valuables (documents, certificates, photos, whatever) will be preserved.

Great Binder! Fire Resistance Bonus!
I liked this DocSafe Binder!First, it’s a great binder. The binder rings allow for a variety of documents to be stored; I’d probably add some archive-grade protective sheet covers. The locking rings opened and closed without issue and when locked, the rings were secure. The interior pockets are great to have. The outside has a pocket on its spine to place a label; which is great for labeling its contents.Second, this binder is fire-resistant. I tried lighting this with a lighter, and the material didn’t scorch. So I have some confidence that this would at least be slightly fire resistant and probably give me some extra time to protect whatever was stored inside.

Dust collects, otherwise good folder for irreplaceable docs
I feel better knowing my precious, irreplaceable documents are safe in this binder. The 2” three ring round binders are large and can hold a substantial stack of documents in extra heavyweight sheet protectors.NOTE: The folder sat out open-to-air in my busy family room for several days and DEFINATELY collected some dust that I had to wipe off with a wet paper towel.
