My brain is a sponge!!!
I've been taking little on-line tests for a few months and felt as though I was just memorising answers. I decided to get serious and learn the facts and had this book recommended to me by a friend. I'm really impressed. I'm not one for reading anything but this but does not drone on about what you're trying to learn. It's straight to the point with a small Q & A at the end of each chapter plus a summary of what you've covered. The exam included with the cd is excellent, much better than previous tests that I've taken. Overall, very interesting, a definite foothold for a new career.

It's All There.
If you know what's in this book, you should easily pass both tests. I did. You might have to study another book first, depending on what you know when you start your study, but the material in this book is all you need to pass both A+ tests. I used Sybex's A+ at first, but then A+ Passport to bone up on everything. A+ Passort is written in a way that all test objectives are covered completely. It's easy to read. I'm using it now as a reference book. Get this book. You won't be sorry. But I can't say the same for all the Passport Series books.

Great book.
Bought this book in 2008 around the summer, use it as my primary study book, passed both parts in the fall of 2008 on first try. Great Book.

Pretty good
Let me just start off by saying, unless you already have experience building computers, do NOT rely on this book as your only source of study for the exam. I had the "official" curriculum books from COMPTIA which took me about 9 weeks to get through, took the test and I failed. As anybody knows, most of these study books are boring as hell and it's easy to feel like your brain will explode. So after I failed, I picked up this book and read it in one week. Mike Meyers has a way of making you learn stuff without making the material dry, and this is exactly what I needed. Next time I took the test I passed with flying colors. Only reason why I didn't give the book 5 stars is because there is some material on the A+ exams that isn't in this book.

Great book.
This book was just what I needed. It was easy to read, and gave very relevant info. I was already familiar with a lot of the stuff in the book, but this definately improved my scores. It helped me know what to memorize and what to expect on the exam.
