Perfect replacement derailleur, works as good as the original.
My son crashed his bike and the derailleur was a casualty of the spokes, so I was looking for a replacement and found this one. It turned out to be an exact replacement and looked identical to the non-working one. It took about 20 minutes to install it and have the bike up and running again. It shifts gears the same as before.

Great Upgrade for Rebuilding Older Vintage Mountain Bike
Shimano brands are always good even if they are made in China now days. This model is a pretty good replacement for a rebuild of an old vintage mountain bike that I have. It is pretty universal in fit. Just have to make sure if it is a direct mount or hanger mount. Also the number of gears used. The part is mostly made of metal with very few plastic parts. I also like the metal adjusting screw rather than the plastic used on most. The build looks sturdy and rugged. It is a good replacement for mid range bikes.

It works
Stamped Shimano, clearly not top-of-the-line, but performing as it should. A combination of steel and plastics. The springs are good and balanced, with no complaints.
