Cold Therapy System, Quiet Ice Machine for Knee After Surgery, Cryotherapy Machine, with a Remote-Control and a Universal Pad for Knee, Elbow, Ankle, Shoulder and Lumbar

This was the perfect device for my husband to help relieve the swelling after undergoing rotator cuff surgery. I have always saved the gel ice packs from foods ordered in the past that were in my deep freezer. I used them along with filtered water for my husband's ice therapy. This worked perfectly! I had enough packs to keep the water cold all day and night. The day we received this device was his first time sleeping through the night. The machine had an automatic timer which allowed him to receive 20 minutes of therapy and 40 minutes off around the clock. It was a godsend!

I had a previous ice machine that stopped working after my knee replacement. I bought this one and have been so happy. It's much cooler than my previous one was. I like the remote, programming capabilities, the pad is shaped well, and being able to see how much ice is left. The 1st few times connecting the tubing to the pad was trying. It broke in and hasn't been an issue since. I would highly recommend this.

My husband has knee problems so we thought we'd give this cold therapy a shot. He says it's easy to set up and the functions are pretty straightforward. The remote is nice to have on hand as well. The unit stays cool enough for his needed duration. I've seen him zonked out asleep a few times using this so I know it's providing some releif.

Just had total knee replacement on my left knee at John's Hopkins. Did a week of physical therapy before coming home. They used ice therapy at the end of each session. I had this waiting for me when I got home. I am in heaven. Easy to assemble and use. Love the remote.

At first, the tubing can be hard to connect to the pad, it says easy connect, but I had to fiddle with it the first few times. However, there was no leaking, and now that we've used it a few times, there are no issues. It doesn't leak, and there is no condensation on the outside of the bucket. You do have to drain the bucket and make sure you empty out the condensation that collects between the two, but honestly it's not that big of an issue. The cord is nice and long, so you can have the bucket on the ground and the pad around your knee, shoulder, etc. while you are on a recliner, and you are pulling it completely taut. There are multiple time settings, and you can choose the level from 50%-100%. It looks difficult at first, but is really straight forward and easy to figure out and adjust. The remote is nice as well, overall it's just a really nice system that works well.

This is a well-thought-out icing kit. I like that the pump is integrated into the lid so there's not much setup required to get it going. I love that the ice bucket is double-walled. I had a cheaper icing machine and the bucket was always sweating and getting whatever it was sitting on wet. This one prevents that by having a double wall. If condensation forms, it's contained inside and can be drained later. The remote is another nice feature if you're recovering from surgery and have reduced mobility. My ONLY gripe is that the hose can't detach from the lid/pump and be stored inside the bucket. It's a very minor gripe but it would be so much easier to store if the hose could be placed inside. Overall I highly recommend this for surgery recovery or even just a convenient way to ice nagging injuries.

I have another one of these that uses a fabric bucket, so I really appreciate the fact that this one has a sturdy plastic bucket that you don’t have to worry about tipping over. This one is really easy to set up. I have found that these are nice to use on other areas of the body, not just knees, if you want a constant supply of cold and don’t want to deal with ice packs. This unit is nice and quiet, and the remote and LED nightlight feature are great.

It’s getting warm too soon. Just returned and wasting time. Got have extra time to wrap knee like bothering. People saying good one because they did not use good one. Not recommended.
