A little bit soft if you are on the receiving end of a heavy kick but great overall pad.

Great kick shields, light, not too huge, sturdy, solid, take lots of punishment, great protection of the kick shield holder. Highly recommend.

I got this for my kid. This shield is a bit firm. I have not held any shields before so perhaps I was incorrectly expecting bit of soft sponge padding . The firmness hopefully will help condition my kids instep when he throws the round kicks. When my kid tried back kicks I could feel the force of the kick but It was not enough to make me uncomfortable. And Again, I am new to using shields.Overall, the shield looks very well made and is very light. The handles seem to have some padding which is good and gives a comfortable grip. Size wise, though it looks small initially, it is perfect size shield when in actual use.Also, The Company reached out to me after I mentioned initially that the Shield was bit firm and they clarified that this is PRO level shield and is expected to be bit firm. They offered to refund the money as well. I have updated my rating for their Customer Service and for standing behind their product.I would recommend this shield for sure. It is well made and should last a long time. Just know in advance that it is a bit on firm side.

Very durable and sturdy.

I practiced Muay Thai for a couple of years and really missed roundhouse kicking sh*t so I considered this kicking shield because it was decently priced and seemed pretty thick. I like the fact that it has 3 straps in the back so that you can hold the shield a few different ways as well as more securely. After practicing a few roundhouses with my relative (who also practiced Muay Thai), they said they had to stop because they could feel the kick through the mat and the impact basically reverberated through their arms. I think it must be because the shield, while being decently sized, is pretty lightweight compared to the kicking shields we were used to at our gym. It's good for practicing technique I suppose, I didn't think I was kicking too powerfully. If you're trying to be serious with this, I would invest in a better quality kicking shield, probably better if you go to an actual store to find one.

The color designs were a good pick & the straps on the back work great holding the blocker/shield. It serves it's purpose good.....as is with size, dimensions; maybe more color, design selections to choose from would be an improvement.
